INXS stumbled greatly in the early '90s, since their slick, professional fusion of disco and the Stones was singularly out of place in the grunge era. On the heels of U2's discovery of irony and the dancefloor and Oasis' popularization of rock & roll hedonism again, INXS seemed to be better suited to the late '90s, but Elegantly Wasted, their first new studio album in four years, proves that theory wrong. The band does dabble in contemporary dance on Elegantly Wasted, but it all comes out sounding like the lite funk-n-roll of Kick, only without the energy. And without the tunes. Throughout Elegantly Wasted, INXS go through the motions, coming up with a record nearly as weak as Full Moon, Dirty Hearts. The really unfortunate thing is, it sounds like they were trying this time around.

Now the whole world can get in bed with Kanye West. West presented a music video for his track "Famous" from the album "The Life Of Pablo". There is no doubt that this clip is the most provocative in a career West at the moment.

"Spectral Mornings" is the third release and the second post-Genesis album by British guitarist Steve Hackett. Fair Warning is a Melodic Hard Rock Band from Germany. This album is great! The band proved that they can play their songs very well during a show. The sound quality is almost perfect on the first cd (the live one), all the songs are good, especially 'Follow My Heart', 'Save Me' and 'Get A Little Closer'. The second cd is not live, but the songs are also good. Highlights for 'Like A Rock' and 'Give In To Love'.

John Scofield is documented in his pre-Miles Davis period on Shinola, a 1981 date with Steve Swallow (electric bass) and Adam Nussbaum (drums). The guitarist's distinctive style is highly developed even at this stage in his career, combining elements of rock and rhythm 'n' blues with post-bop leanings and an uncanny, 'left-handed' lyricism, all colored with a lightly distorted, subtly phase-shifted tone, his legato lines embellished with bent notes, picked octaves and sweet 'n' sour cluster chords.
