Years of struggle had turned Cold Chisel into one of Australian rock's all-time great bands – many would argue the greatest. But the years had also taken their toll and, by the early '80s, rifts had begun to drag on the band. Drummer Steve Prestwich called it quits in June 1983. Two months later, the band put out a press release saying it was disbanding and in December played its final concerts to sold-out audiences at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

After the disbanding of Switzerland's Groove Metal jewel Sybreed (four albums out through Listenable records), Drop joined Samael while Kevin and Ales formed The Erkonauts who immediately recorded a (self released) debut full-length, I did something bad (produced by Samael's Drop) and embarked on a world tour that saw them hit the USA, Japan, China, Taiwan and Europe. The two first press of the album are now soldout and that's with much delight that Kaotoxin is now re-releasing it with two band new bonus tracks recorded on August 2015, right on time to coincide with The Erkonauts' new groovy assault on the USA winter 2015/2016, soon followed by another trek to Asia for Spring 2016.

Another cool release from Cafe Del Mar. This album is a must for every good music lover… Congratulations to mr Bruno!!!
There are some songs that distinguish themselves(as great work.. I'd say: john dahlback - magic touch (and magic saxophone to speak frankly), Filur - Release, Aya - Sean (one of my favourites - great vice and mixing), eminence feat. syreeta neal - slave to the poison (latin interflexoins), gutbrod plus bruno from ibiza - electric blues (cool jazzy stuff), colette - didn't mean to turn you on.

Tina Bednoff & the Cocktailers is a quaint quartet from the shady red light district of Helsinki, delivering rockin’ rhythm and blues that you can dance your toenails off to. With all due respect, don't you just sometimes get tired of the endless radio playlists and the monotonic, compressed sound barrier of today’s music and artists? Have no fear, Tina and the guys are here! The sound is firmly based on 1940's & 1950's rhythm and blues, but the mission is not to replicate the hits of the past, not by a long shot.

Fate for Breakfast is the fourth solo studio album by Art Garfunkel released in March 1979 on Columbia Records. It was his first album to miss the U.S. Billboard Top 40 and his first album containing no U.S. Top 40 singles. However, the European release of the album does include a different version of the song "Bright Eyes", which was featured in the film version of the novel Watership Down, and reached the number-one spot in the United Kingdom, and became the biggest selling single of 1979 there.

France's avant-garde black metallers GLORIOR BELLI will release a new album entitled "Sundown (The Flock That Welcomes)" on May 6th via Agonia Records. Acknowledged for their brand of black metal influenced with a mix of heavy grooves, doom-laden lyricism, and thickly distorting sludge, the band announced a return to their roots on upcoming record. "The production is by far one of the best that Glorior Belli ever had" - comments the band. "Drums & Bass are absolutely devilish and placed under the spotlight. Everything was recorded, mixed and mastered in our own studios, having an absolute control as usual over the sound. The guitar work overall will bring you back to the origins of Glorior Belli".

In Extremo are the masters of medieval metal from Germany. The band was formed in 1995 and in 2016 In Extremo comes to us with their eleventh full-length album „Quid pro quo”. The album is fast dynamic fresh powerful jocund and jaunty. As always, besides typical for metal instruments, it is full of good medieval tones performed by bagpipes, harp, shawm, hurdy gurdy, nyckelharpa and cister. Medieval metal at its best… Just In Extremo, which is not older even by day from 1995 and gives us consistently attractive sound. As good as it gets. Tracks on disc 2 recorded live on September 3rd 2015 aboard the MS Rheinfantasie (special acoustic concert aboard a tourist boat featuring a ltd. number of 1000 spectators while on a Rhine cruise).

Remembered in the west almost solely for his Soviet-era ballet The Red Poppy – and even then, for one popular selection from it, the energetic "Dance of the Russian Sailors" – Reinhold Glière is long overdue for a revival. If this 2006 recording by the Pulzus String Quartet of two of Glière's four string quartets gives any indication of his music's potential appeal, then it's high time that this neglected oeuvre is reassessed, both by ensembles in search of new repertoire and labels in need of fresh material.

Released in late 1988, as everyone was waiting for the follow-up for Brothers in Arms, the 12-track Money for Nothing does an adequate job of summarizing hits and highlights from Dire Straits. Since the group only released one studio album after this compilation, and that really didn't produce any blockbusters, Money for Nothing winds up being a pretty good career summary…

By the time Giorgio Moroder released Déjà-Vu, the world was as ready as it could be for his return. His work on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories was the most vivid reminder of his influence on decades of dance music, but artists such as Goldfrapp and Chromatics ensured that his brand of atmospheric disco and synth pop was nearly as in vogue in the 2000s and 2010s as it was in the '70s and '80s…

"Oklahoma-born John ‘Moon’ Martin is an American singer-songwriter whose songs were picked up and turned into hits by others. He was an underrated performer and perennially popular in Europe, having first toured there in late 1979. In the USA he opened for Cheap Trick, Rockpile and Joe Jackson. The name ‘Moon’ was added to distinguish him from Brit songsmith John Martyn, and it also recognises his frequent use of lunar-related imagery in lyrics. He was described by author Johnny Rogan as ‘a cross between Buddy Holly, Warren Zevon and John Denver’. His late 60s session career as a ‘guitarist-for-hire’ saw him backing Del Shannon, Jackie DeShannon, Gram Parsons and Linda Ronstadt. He wrote much of ‘Mama’ Michelle Phillips’ debut solo album, ‘Victim Of Romance’ (1977). His 70s band Southwind shared stages with the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers. He also found fame in the New Wave era, when he was backed by musicians from Blondie and was produced by Jack Nitzsche (whom he shared with Mink DeVille - hence the latter artist’s covers of ‘Rolene’ and ‘Cadillac Walk’).(repertoirerecords.com)"
