Javier Vargas is an awesome, blues-based axe ripper whose phat & sassy six string riffage is Highly recommended to fans of Hendrix, Trower, SRV, Santana & Clapton. Javier Vargas is a Spanish blues guitarist. Born in Madrid to Argentine parents who had emigrated to Spain from Buenos Aires, he founded the Vargas Blues Band in 1991, the year they released their first recording, All Around Blues. Since 1992, he has recorded on the Dro-Atlantic (Warner Music Group, Spain) label. He regularly tours Europe and Spain with his band and appeared at the 30th Anniversary Montreux Jazz Festival.

Orbital are putting out a new album this September, titled Monsters Exist. The album, to be released on September 14th, is Paul and Phil Hartnoll's first proper studio LP since 2012's Wonky. (That same year, they also provided the score for the movie Pusher.) Two years later, in 2014, the brothers announced Orbital would be parting ways after 25 years, only to return with a new single, "Kinetic 2017," last year.

The Trio 'Sista Maj' (Swedish for the last day of May, ever) are an interesting prospect; made up of Jonathan Segal of Camper Van Beetoven, drummer Andreas Axelssson (experimental jazz artist Lisa Ullén's band) and Mikael Tuominen of the brilliant Kungens Män. The last day of May 2015 happened to be the first time that these three musicians played together. Record Label Space Rock Productions explain "they had played in other constellations before, but this started a new group: Sista Maj". Their debut album "Series of Nested Universes" was recorded in Stockholm after they met again to record in October 2015…

On August 24th Interpolrelease their sixth studio album ‘Marauder’ on Matador Records worldwide, available on CD, standard black vinyl and webstore only red vinyl. For the first time since 2007’s Our Love to Admire, Interpol have opened themselves up to the input of a producer. For two-week spells between December of 2017 to April of 2018, they travelled to upstate New York to work with Dave Fridmann – famed for recording with Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips, MGMT, Spoon, Mogwai, and countless more.

When American composers began writing symphonies around the mid-1800s, their works were very much in the European tradition. During the first half of the 20th century, the great innovator Charles Ives injected a recognizably American sound into the genre, however, and since then the American symphonic legacy has been both wide and varied. With the present disc, conductor Lance Friedel strikes a blow for three fellow American composers, with the help of the eminent London Symphony Orchestra.

Antonio Vivaldi's six sonatas for cello and continuo were written between 1720 and 1730 and published in Paris in 1740 by Leclerc and Boivin. Although a staple of the cello repertoire, these works are not often played in public recitals. When they were composed, the cello was just emerging as a solo instrument, and Vivaldi took full advantage of the instrument's expressive capabilities. These performances feature soloist Jean-Guihen Queyras, accompanied by a continuo team of harpsichordist Michael Behringer, lutenist Lee Santana and cellist Christoph Dangel.

The new edition includes 24-tracks released digitally in April alongside an exclusive third with guest stars including Bruce Springsteen and Richie Sambora.
