'Under The Sign Of The Iron Cross' is their second consecutive concept album about world war one. Musically this album can again be classified a soundtrack to a war movie, but this time around the music is even more grim than on "Passiondale", but also includes some over the top hymnic and bombastic tunes that will stick in your brain forever.

Francis Cabrel (born 23 November 1953 in Agen, France) is a French singer-songwriter and guitarist. Inspired heavily by Bob Dylan, he has released a number of albums falling mostly within the realm of folk, with occasional forays into blues or country. Several of his songs, such as "L'encre de tes yeux" and "Petite Marie" have become enduring favourites in French music. Others, such as "C'était l'hiver", about the suicide of a young girl, have since been covered by other artists such as Canadian Isabelle Boulay.

Scala & Kolacny Brothers is a Belgian girls' choir, conducted by Stijn Kolacny and arranged and accompanied by Steven Kolacny on the piano. Formed in 1996 and winning the Belgian 'Choir of the Year'-contest in 2000, they have made five studio albums, starting with On The Rocks in 2002.
Most songs are specially made arrangements of well-known musicians and bands such as Bjork, Radiohead, U2, Nirvana, Depeche Mode, Muse, Rammstein, etc. although they have also been very successful with their own compositions.

Life in the Tropics - the first Peak Records release for the Rippingtons features guitarist Russ Freeman and is a great smooth jazz celebration of rhythmic delights that resemble the tropical splendor of an island oasis. The natural beauty of each composition is reflected by the great talents of the Rippingtons.

This record is devoted to three American composers who I only met once but whose work I listened to a great deal before and after I met them. And each of those composers provided me with their own illuminating guidance through what is now known as New Music. ………..
While I know that many people have to spend their lives rushing here and there, I should like to suggest that they listen slowly to everything on this recording as a single, whole event. Only by doing this and absorbing the actual sound of the guitars themselves, the vibrations of their strings and the overall architecture of what is here will listeners hear that each piece is not an independent document but that its identity exists precisely in relation to what comes before and after it.

The Lautten Compagney discovers surprising points of contact between the baroque composer Tarquinio Merula and American contemporary composer Philip Glass. This is music of pure pleasure that effortlessly crosses all stylistic and historical boundaries.

We found a recording of 13 Melodies for Solo Saxophone when we were building the Philip Glass recording archive. As I listened to this wonderful recording of Andrew Sterman's performances, I was struck by the beautiful simplicity and purity of these compositions, they seemed to portray the very essence of much of Philip Glass' music. I knew that this particular recording was made as 'incidental' music for Joanne Akalaitis' Theatrical production of Jean Genet's Prisoner Of Love in 1995, but upon further research I found that the Melodies were actually a sketch book for the Saxophone Concerto which was commissioned by the world renowned Rascher Saxophone Quartet.

This Deluxe two CD edition of the Dutch alto-saxophonist's 2009 album shows two sides of Candy - the energetic stage persona and intimate seductress. Disc 1 “Funked Up” is the follow-up to Candy's successful Candy Store album. The album is filled with the Funk and R&B that she injects into her live performances but seldom brings into the studio. Disc 2, Chilled Out, contains relaxed, mellow grooves for those late night hours, inspired by the music that Candy and producer Thomas Bank composed for the soundtrack the wine documentary 'Kissed By The Grape'.

This is the debut album of Martin Dupont. Martin Dupont was a French group from Marseille formed in the early 80s. The group consisted of Alain Seghir, Brigitte Balian and Beverley Jane Crew, with Catherine Loy in the original line-up. Their first single ‘Your Passion’ was released on Turquoise D and later LPs were released on the Facteurs D’Ambience label, formed by Alain Seghir and Alain Arnaud. Their music style was classified as minimal synth mixing both male and female vocals. They released three albums between 1982-1987. They split in 1987.
