The edginess and hard rockin part of the Stones comes from Keith Richards. In conjunction with the release of his autobiography, this CD provides a fine retrospective of Keith studio and live performances. The album also includes “Hurricane,” an acoustic track previously available only to fans who donated to Hurricane Katrina relief during the most recent Rolling Stones tour.

Analog Africa was already in the process of digging heavily into the music scenes of Ghana's smaller neighbors, Benin and Togo, for a series of great comps. A meeting with Dick Essilfie-Bonzie, the owner of the long-defunct Essiebons Records, led Redjeb to a trove of old master tapes from the 1970s. The music on those tapes, most of which was originally recorded for PolyGram, comprises the bulk of this set, the latest in Redjeb's incredible run of Afro-funk retrospectives. Anyone who enjoyed Soundway's Ghana Soundz compilations from several years ago will love this as well, as it's filled with the distinctive funk sound of Ghana– heavy on the bright Vox organ, colored by highlife guitars, and anchored by grooves that are heavier than just about anything else. The few tracks by Togolese artists included here fit right into the sound (the artists all absorbed the Ghana sound during stints there).

Conquest Icon was found in late 2009 by Andy Blakk (ex-Pyorrhoea, Suicide Circle) and Empherion (Empheris, Hellish). Music on “Hellspire” is an old school blackened death metal.

"Savage Amusement" is the Scorpions' tenth studio album; it became platinum in the USA. The album was the follow up to "Love at First Sting" and had some musical differences when compared to its predecessor. The overall feel of the album shows that Scorpions wanted to experiment with some different genres, incorporating more synthesized sounds. While there are still some straight hard rock songs, like "Don't Stop At The Top" and "Media Overkill", there are also progressive rock songs such as "Walking On The Edge" and "Passion Rules The Game" and, sure, a beautifull ballad ("Believe In Love").
