Nomad is the third album by fusion / jazz band Tribal Tech, a project led by guitarist Scott Henderson and bassist Gary Willis.

Sinead O'Connor has transcended much of the pain and anger of her public persona with this moody, evocative set of songs. Touching upon themes of fraternity and maternity with folkish grace and childlike metaphors, O'Connor's UNIVERSAL MOTHER reveals aspects of her longings and fears in cryptic freeze frames of song and sorcery that are haunting in their simplicity, and unsettling in their focus on doomed innocents.

Alto saxophonist Kenny Garrett hasn't been as heavily publicized as his fellow young lions, but he can play with as much authority, conviction, and sheer energy as anyone. Only some uneven material keeps his '92 album from being exceptional, and even on the weak songs, Garrett's playing forces you to pay attention.

This concert was recorded in Budapest in April this year on the final show of the European tour in support of Hackett's most recent album 'To Watch The Storms'. It combines songs from across his career including classic Genesis tracks like 'Blood On The Rooftops' and 'Firth Of Fifth', early solo material like 'Ace Of Wands' and 'Spectral Mornings' and more recent tracks such as 'Mechanical Bride' and 'Darktown'. The evening ends appropriately with the old Genesis showstopper 'Los Endos'.

This album is a great representative of the bands formative years. The band was a hard drivin' blues rock band doing the club circuit in those days. All the original tunes are penned by founding member and guitarist Tim "Too Slim" Langford. There is a great selection of covers by the band including a "raucous" rendition of Link Wray's "Rumble. This is a "must have" CD for Too Slim fans!
