Lera Auerbach is a prodigiously talented Russian pianist and composer who was born in the city of Chelyabinsk, located to the east of the Ural mountain range, near the Siberian border. Auerbach's promise at the keyboard was discovered early, and she made her debut as a pianist with an orchestra at the age of 8. At the age of 11, Auerbach composed an opera that proved a cause celèbre when it was staged in Russia, and a touring version of the work was seen throughout the Soviet Union. When Auerbach was 17, she was sent to the United States on a concert tour, but decided to defect to the West; she was one of the last Soviet artists to do so. Auerbach continued at Juilliard, where she studied composition with Milton Babbitt and piano with Joseph Kalichstein.

Corvus band was formed in September 2005. The name was borrowed from Latin, it translates - the Raven. It is a symbol of the wisdom in most ancient religions of the world. Raven is a carrier of souls across the River of Eternity and a binding link between the fragile edge of the World of Shadows and the World of the Living. Initially, the Corvus band was created as a melodic symphonic gothic metal project, but in the process of development and quality growth joins itself the best of the different trends and styles of rock. Now Corvus band has created more than thirty Russian and English-language songs. Song's sound is very different: from romantic ballads to hard and progressive rock.

The Controsigillo got together by the end of 1999 thanks to the willing of the singer Enrico Pulze and the guitarist Simone Costadone. The two, after sharing previous musical experiences and then building a great friend ship throughout the years, decide to start with this project and create something bound to resist in the years to come. They beginned with great ambitions, but made sure to move short steps and to presever in their job without running the risk to burn out. The band doesn't belong to any musical kind in particular; that's never been their main purposes many are the musical influences just as prog. rock of the seventies, thrash bay area, the Beatles, extreme metal… and so on.

"Balance of Power" was the last studio album by the Electric Light Orchestra for a period of over 15 years (until "Zoom" was released in 2001).

Recorded April 7th, 1993. Long John Baldry, who now lives in Canada, was one of the figure-heads of the blues explosion in England in the swinging sixties.
Baldry raised his profile as a singer with Alexis Korner's legendary Blues Incorporated. In 1967 the two-meter man went to number one in the British charts with the pop ballad 'Let the Heartaches Begin'. Later on Baldry went firmly back to his roots, using his rough voice to promote unsophisticated blues and blues rock. And as a live entertainer, he is always good for an electrifying show.

The Longpigs' debut album The Sun Is Often Out is an ambitious, darkly romantic album that owes quite a bit to the modernized anthem-rock of Radiohead. Although the band doesn't quite have Radiohead's talent for making the bombastic seem utterly personal, there are several moments of brilliance on the album – particularly the singles "Far," "She Said" and "On and On" – suggesting that their appealingly neo-gothic sonic textures will develop into something distinctive on their second album.
