This volume of Chandos' series of Walton's Music from the Olivier films includes Richard III: A Shakespearean Scenario and Major Barbara: a Shavian Sequence, concert arrangements by Christopher Palmer, as well an excerpt of incidental music from John Gielgud's 1941 stage production of Macbeth. These particular excerpts don't reveal Walton at his most consistent or his most profound, but they do illustrate his skill at writing colorful, evocative music with a strong sense of drama. Richard III is such a dark play and, heard out of context, Walton's music doesn't seem to have the gravitas to match its malignant tone.

In 1959 it was Conniff Meets Butterfield. In 1963 this duo teamed up for Just Kiddin' Around as an update to their 1959 release. "Alexander's Ragtime Band","Heartaches", and "When I Grow Too Old to Dream" receive an uptempo treatment with their Ray's trombone and Billy's trumpet! You wish there were tunes like this today! I think you will like this compilation!

It is set for a timeless journey to a closer interesting star and now it's drifting to infinity and beyond.

For the better part of two decades, Little Feat have been a touring band that occasionally records, surviving the rough and tumble of the road and of life itself. Founding member Richie Hayward passed in 2010, by which time Gabe Ford had taken over his drumming duties, and 2012's Rooster Rag marks the first time Ford has anchored a Feat studio recording, but it's also the group's first collection of new material in almost a decade. The last was the 2003 Kickin' It at the Barn – Join the Band, a star-studded stroll through their back pages, appeared in 2008 – and Rooster Rag feels a bit more focused than that ambling affair, lacking some of the casual virtuosity of Kickin' but gaining the presence of Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter, who co-wrote three tunes with Bill Payne here.

Are you ready to listen? You can learn a lot if you have a will to listen. Lend an ear to yourself to hear the voice that can lead through the thorns of being. Ignoring inner voice may throw you in the search that results in a false identity which is the alloy of others' thoughts.
