This is a superb and delicious work played as masterful as delicately by a totally acoustic trio. Besides the extraordinary perform of the trio, it is very notable the beautiful interpretation of the perfectly balanced and controlled pianist Allan Pasqua, whose compositions, besides, are really beautiful and stupendous too. Simply, a master work of the contemporary jazz.

Larcange Maurice, born near Valenciennes (France) (1929-2007) has been one of the best French accordionists of the history, great figure in music 'musette' and conductor. He learned the instrument in the family school of his father and eventually became an internationally renowned musician, renowned radio and television, with a large number of music recordings, of which many were of his own creation ('Pistonnete' 'Look musette', etc..). Larcange, (nickname 'Momo') worked in the teaching and promotion of young talents of the accordion.

Filmed at a sold out Riviera Theatre in Chicago in March 2010, "Alive In The Windy City" is the first Stone Temple Pilots live concert to be authorized for video release. The band are in top form and the show both looks and sounds spectacular. The concert was held shortly before the release of their recent "Stone Temple Pilots" album and the tracklisting combines new songs interspersed with their classic hits. This is a great live concert by one of the most successful rock acts of the last twenty years.

…Against the competition, this new German recording rates very high. It is certainly superior to Harnoncourt's heavily cut and somewhat mannered Teldec reissue.

Rebecca Clarke’s music is often described (along with that of Vaughan Williams) as English impressionism, but her style ranges from lush post-romantic (as in the passionate Viola Sonata, her best-known work) to the taut neo-classicism of Stravinsky (as heard in her Prelude, Allegro, and Pastorale). Clarke trained with Charles Stanford at the Royal College of Music in London, but wrote much of her music while living in the United States. Most of her music remained unpublished in her lifetime, and this recording is part of a dramatic discovery that has been taking place since her 90th birthday in 1976.
