    New Age, Instrumental, Piano | MP3 CBR 320 kbps | 00:59:02 | 136 MB
Label: Real Music | Release Year: 2015

The hauntingly beautiful “Fairy Dance” sets the mystical tone that permeates Karran’s second album, which evokes the ancient Celtic roots of his Northern Ireland homeland. Tempo and spirit liven as uilleann pipes, drums and synthesizer embellish “An Grainan,” while the penultimate “Ease My Mind” will surely awaken the oft’ times elusive art of letting go that we all crave.

It's hard to find good punk bands anymore. Especially good girl band! The Eyeliners is one of them and this is awesome.

The Eyeliners are an American Rock & Roll band, featuring three lovely sisters from Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.A. Their undeniable sex appeal matched with their melodic, high energy pure punk sound, is the perfect blend of old school punk with pop. From their first release "Confidential", a declarative raw punk album, to "Here Comes Trouble", their second release, and finally, "Sealed With A Kiss", a more refined sound, blending a punk sound with a pop sensibility, the progression is clear. The Eyeliners' most mature sound came to the pinnacle in their latest release "No Apologies", produced by Kenny Laguna, producer of such bands as Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kathleen Hanna and Bikini Kill, and many others. Their sound is not the only strength, as their shows are full of energy and fun, and will make a fan out of anyone that has the opportunity to see them live. The Eyeliners are at the definitive moment in their musical maturity, where their songwriting and sound will blow you away.

7 Park Avenue is the first of two posthumous CD releases of demo material recorded by Badfinger's Pete Ham. The recordings are taken from various eras, beginning with compositions he wrote during his years with The Iveys from 1967 to 1969, and running throughout his tenure with Badfinger, ending with his death in 1975. The majority of these recordings were made on The Iveys' Sound-On-Sound Revox mono tape machine. Many of the songs highlight Ham playing all the instruments. However, session musicians occasionally augment some of the tracks, most notably former Badfinger member Bob Jackson and former Iveys member, Ron Griffiths. All of the vocals and guitar licks are Ham's original performances.

    Genre: Jazz, Latin Jazz

The Third World is the initial session that mixed Gato Barbieri's free jazz tenor playing with Latin and Brazilian influences. It's also the album that brought Barbieri positive attention from the college crowds of the late '60s. He would expand on this musical combination with his next few Flying Dutchman releases as well as his first recordings for the Impulse! label. The records made between 1969 through 1974 find Barbieri creating a danceable yet fiery combination of South American rhythms and free jazz forcefulness. Strangely, once Barbieri signed with A&M, he began making commercial records geared to fans of Herb Alpert, sounding nothing like his earlier albums.

Maureen Budway's Sweet Candor is a masterclass in style and elegance. A former editor once gave me some sage advice about interjecting too much personal opinion unless there was some relevance to the release. Sweet Candor is the first release from Budway and sadly the last as this lyrical warrior lost her twenty year fight with cancer. I too am fighting cancer but this is not a sad occasion as Budway delivers an exemplary performance moving effortlessly through a variety of genres with a range most singers can only hope they achieve…

Genre: Jazz | Label: Domino Records

All Tracks Previously Unissued. This release presents, for the first time on any format, the only three known 1956-57 Café Bohemia broadcasts by the Miles Davis Quintet featuring John Coltrane on tenor sax, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Philly Joe Jones on drums. Among the highlights are Miles’ only existing live versions of Girl in Calico, Stablemates and How Am I to Know?. Shortly after the third of these broadcasts, Coltrane would leave Miles to be replaced by Sonny Rollins. He would return in 1958, when Bill Evans replaced Garland on piano, as showed by our fourth, May 17, 1958 broadcast. As a bonus, an amazing and also never before released tour de force by Miles on A Night in Tunisia taped in Washington in 1953, as well as an all-star 1958 jam session on What Is This Thing Called Love?

Like Ministry, KMFDM has attracted listeners who aren't necessarily big fans of industrial music. Abrasive, noisy and dissonant, Money hardly qualifies as easy listening. But compare this excellent CD to albums by Skinny Puppy and the seminal Throbbing Gristle, and you'll begin to see why Money was considered to be much more accessible by comparison. The aggression of industrial noise is there, but so are elements of heavy metal, Euro-dance music and hip-hop. And the overall results are as infectious as they are unpredictable.

“Freedom and Dreams is extremely honest and captures NMO’s relaxed chemistry so well, most of these songs did not even have a proper count off or beginning,” says Allstars guitarist-vocalist Luther Dickinson. “Mark Howard is a wonderful producer and recorded the songs as we first created them. We were interested in combining Anders’ singing and songwriting with NMA’s groove and aesthetic to create something unique that neither of us could do without the other — a type of modern Southern folk rock.”

Style: New Age | Label: Plusquam New Age

Mike Rowland's 1985 new age classic Silver Wings is re-recorded here with fresh live orchestral arrangements by Netherlands composer Henk Alkema. Concert pianist Kate Williams and the Sylvan String Orchestra with woodwinds, horns, and harp can really liberate the life and sparkle from Rowland's work. Instead of just two musical colors, piano and strings, Rowland's compositions breathe with flutes, woodwinds, soaring French horns, luscious harps, and chimes. The harmonies are exquisitely sophisticated, and Williams' piano playing very sensitive.

This excellent session does a fine job of showing off David "Fathead" Newman's jazz talents. Newman is heard on tenor sax on four selections, taking two songs apiece on flute and alto. Joined by pianist Cedar Walton, the fine if underrated vibraphonist Bryan Carrott, bassist David Williams, and drummer Kenny Washington, Newman stretches out on such numbers as "Cellar Groove," "Cristo Redentor," "Freedom Jazz Dance," and a tribute to Stanley Turrentine, "For Stanley," sounding at his prime on each of his instruments.

The debut album of the Climax Chicago Blues Band (they'd later drop the "Chicago" part of the name) was recorded on two days separated by a couple of months in 1968. As British blues revivalists, Climax was better than most, featuring strong playing from guitarist Peter Haycock and keyboardist Art Wood. The selections run the gamut from Chicago retreads ("Mean Old World," "Insurance," "Wee Baby Blues," "Don't Start Me to Talkin'") to band originals like "And Lonely," "Looking for My Baby," "Going Down This Road" and "You've Been Drinking."

Pink Floyd's the Wall is one of the most intriguing and imaginative albums in the history of rock music. Since the studio album's release in 1979, the tour of 1980-81, and the subsequent movie of 1982, the Wall has become synonymous with, if not the very definition of, the term "concept album." Aurally explosive on record, astoundingly complex on stage, and visually explosive on the screen, the Wall traces the life of the fictional protagonist, Pink Floyd, from his boyhood days in post-World-War-II England to his self-imposed isolation as a world-renowned rock star, leading to a climax that is as cathartic as it is destructive.

Gondolier abounds with inventive, unexpected melodies, lyrics, and arrangements, which contrast the pastoral with the urban. Largely written on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire but with her Brooklyn home in mind, Gondolier finds Andreassen lyrically contemplating the differences of expectation and reality and juxtaposing her modern Brooklyn indie influences with deep-rooted traditional sensibilities.
