Into the Fire is cut from the same cloth as Barnet Dogs and is perhaps even slicker, thanks to the introduction of synthesizers. It is, however, a bit more varied than the single-minded Barnet Dogs, finding space for the power ballad "Where Do We Go from Here" and the soft rock "Strangers," which suggests the hits he'd soon have writing for America.

London Daze is the sixth album by Spiders & Snakes, released by Cleopatra Records in 2000. The album features rerecordings of songs that were recorded or played by frontman Lizzie Grey's previous band London.The album's most successful track was the rerecording of "Public Enemy #1", which was also recorded by Mötley Crüe and released on their debut album Too Fast For Love (1981). According to Grey, the track received "a great deal of airplay both domestically and international[ly].London Daze also includes three tracks from a 16-track demo recorded by London in 1980 featuring ex-Mott the Hoople vocalist Nigel Benjamin on vocals and Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx on bass.

After a pair of long-players credited as "Louisiana's LeRoux", the sextet shortened their handle to simply Le Roux for their next outing, Up (1980) . The nine-song effort has a definite AOR feel, due at least in part to the influence of top-shelf West Coast studio musician and producer Jai Winding. His voluminous credits include work with Molly Hatchet and Warren Zevon, among countless others. Immediately out of the gate, Le Roux wails on the Jeff Pollard (guitars/vocals) penned blazer "Let Me Be Your Fantasy." Pollard nails the high-energy vocal and the performance features a blistering toe-to-toe face-off between him and fellow stringman Tony Haselden (guitar/vocals), who follows with the commanding "Get It Right the First Time."

After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's Black Cadillac, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash – all of whom passed within a two-year span – one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with The List, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand, and it's a lovely and redemptive outing that looks back to go forward…

Recorded in February this year in front of a sold-out audience on arguably the world’s most famous stage, this epic night was captured by the renowned director Charlie Lightening (Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, Black Sabbath, Arcade Fire) and features a scorching set list made up from selections from Jake’s eponymous U.K. #1 and Platinum debut album, and the critically acclaimed Rick Rubin-produced ‘Shangri La’.

LeRoux takes its name from the Cajun French term for the thick and hearty gravy base that's used to make gumbo, a vitamin-laden soup that's actually of Bantu origin. It's an appropriate moniker for this six-man aggregation of writers and musicians who call Baton Rouge, Louisiana their home.The band's music, transferred to vinyl with the release of their debut LP on Capitol, Louisiana's LeRoux (April 1978) is chock full of thick and hearty instrumental textures that pull from blues, R&B, funk, jazz, rock, and Cajun roots. Their sound is laced with multi-layered four- and five-part harmonies served up in a wide range of imaginatively arranged songs, and seasoned with years of collective experience on the road and in the studio.

Probably possessors of the strangest tale of any group form the rock age, Pink Floyd somehow manage to remain amongst the most popular music acts of all time. And despite being on indefinite hiatus for almost 20 years - longer if the classic line-up is considered - the very mention of their name is still enough to garner an emotional response in even the hardiest of fans. But surely such response are justified when speaking of a group of musicians who have not just proven themselves the most experimental and cutting edge of any chart regulars over the period that such things have been considered important, but who have also inspired and informed a host of subsequent musicians and composers, many of which are the most interesting and important of the current age.

Released on the heels of the stilted, static Cahoots, the double-album Rock of Ages occupies a curious yet important place in Band history. Recorded at a spectacular New Years Eve 1971 gig, the show and album were intended to be a farewell of sorts before the Band took an extended break in 1972, but it turned out to be a last hurrah in many different ways, closing the chapter on the first stage of their career, when they were among the biggest and most important rock & roll bands…
