Lucía Martínez is a young artist with a strong background in classical, world and jazz music. She’s a versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer, and belongs to the new generation of jazz musicians in Europe, but with the flavour from the south. Her style is influenced by folk music from Galicia, flamenco and Mediterranean music, all together with the new avant-garde music.

Organist Jon Lord supposedly left Deep Purple to retire and take it easy, after he'd spent much of his life recording and touring the world with Purple and other artists. But upon his exit from the band, Lord played gigs and issued albums on his own, such as 2004's Beyond the Notes…

Clearlight is a French progressive rock band from the 1970s, although their best known work was produced in England, and released by a major British record company. While progressive rock is an appropriate overall genre for the band, much of their work delves into other genres including psychedelic music, jam band music, symphonic rock, space rock, jazz fusion, and new-age music.

Anne Odell (Blue Mink), Ray Russell, and Simon Phillips (Toto), co-managed by Don Arden. A record deal with Jet Records ensued, and the album Grand Slam was released. A single (In the Midnight Hour) was also produced. The band toured extensively around GB and Europe, supporting The Electric Light Orchestra. The band was formed in 1974 by Ann and Ray and they split eventually after experiencing management problems, Simon Phillips then going on to become one of the best drummers on the world music scene.

The album was released by Tool Disectional and Volcano Entertainment on April 28, 2006 in parts of Europe, April 29, 2006, in Australia, May 1, 2006 in the United Kingdom, and on May 2, 2006 in North America. Recording took place at O'Henry Studios in Burbank, California, The Loft, and Grandmaster Studios (both in Hollywood, California.) It was mixed at Bay 7 in North Hollywood, California and mastered at Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland, Maine. 10,000 days spawned three singles: Vicarious, The Pot and Jambi.It debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, with first week sales of 564,000 copies. By the end of 2007 the album had sold 2.5 million copies worldwide, and was awarded a Platinum certification by the RIAA.
