"…Electric Chubbyland, a two-disc set of Chubby covering Jimi Hendrix songs, appeared from Dixie Frog that same year, and was then repackaged and issued as two single discs by Blind Pig in 2007. In 2008, Chubby released the country-punk-inflected Vicious Country on Dixie Frog, followed by a return to blues rock in 2010 with The Fight Is On. The year 2011 found him moving to the Provogue label for the album Back to New York City. Universal Breakdown Blues followed in 2013 and featured Chubby's cover version of "Over the Rainbow" as its centerpiece."

Moving Gelatine Plates is a French progressive rock band first formed in 1968 by Gérard Bertram (guitarist) and Didier Thibault (bassist and band leader), who met in 1966 as 14-year-old schoolmates. Being heavily influenced by jazz, the band is considered to be part of progressive rock's Canterbury scene despite its national origin. In particular, the band's sound has been compared to Soft Machine. According to Thibault, the band’s name derives from the novel Travels with Charley: In Search of America by John Steinbeck.

"Quiet Storm" was originally released in 1986 and was one of Peabo's most underrated albums ever. The gorgeous ballads "Since I've Been In Love", "Catch 22" and "Good Combination", however, are all classic Peabo performances which rank right up there with his most popular works. Perhaps because it only got airplay on late-night Quiet Storm radio shows this album failed to get much-deserved exposure.

This is a compilation of fantastic rhythm and soul from all over America the sort of stuff that would have had people dancing at the Scene Club if only it had been known about. The Mod Jazz team of Ady Croasdell and Dean Rudland have dug deep into record collections and tape vaults to come up with 24 examples of high-calibre rhythm and soul, including three previously unreleased masterpieces. Of these, Little Eva s 'Dynamite' is already filling floors whilst 'Got A Good Thing Going On' by Clarence Daniels and Obie Jessie is from the same sessions as their in-demand 'Hard Working Girl'.

In 1981, a group of sessions musicians decided to form a band and call themselves the Yellowjackets. In the 21st century, they are still stinging listeners and critics with their tradition-laden, groove-oriented sound. This combination CD/DVD captures the current group – founding members, bassist Jimmy Haslip and keyboardist Russ Ferrante, with saxophonist Bob Mintzer and drummer Marcus Baylor – live during their 2005 European tour. With the exception of Spyro Gyra, no other ensemble has so expertly navigated the blurry lines between acoustic, fusion, and smooth jazz as these guys.

Thieves' Kitchen is a modern British line-up that is special because they could get away from the neo progressive influences that his mentor had (with a lot of talent), developed in Grey Lady Down. The sound has neo influences put also with strong and fully orchestrated arrangements. The musicianship is complicated but very much in the band spirit. This is a very good blend of traditional prog and newer prog.

The first sound you hear on Toro y Moi's fourth album is the buzz and roar of race-car engines on the speedway. For those who've followed Chaz Bundick since his debut album, 2010's Causers Of This, it's a peculiar sound. Bundick has never sounded like a man taken with velocity; with speeding quickly from one destination to the next. As one of the early progenitors of "chillwave," Toro y Moi has been about an unhurried sound, with a discography full of detours and pit stops: pretty folk garlands, gleaming R&B, wobbly '80s boogie.

If she were a trumpeter instead of a singer, she would be reminiscent of Chet Baker and early Miles Davis - her smokey voice is slightly mysterious and terribly inviting. David Byrne again…..you may ask yourself, "what is a dakini?" Wonderful things, those dakinis, gotta have 'em. They are the female sky travelers in Tibetan Buddhism. Great bliss emanates from them at all times. Needless to say, they are very cool, as well as being incredibly compassionate and wise. So here in Dakini Land I hope to give you fun stuff, compassionate stuff, stuff full of loving kindness and wisdom.

Rehearsal Live 1975 is a practice session Fleetwood Mac did before they were to go on tour for their self-titled 1975 album, which would lead to the hits "Rhiannon" and "Landslide". It was recorded at Trod Nossel Studios in Wallingford, Connecticut on 23 September, 1975, is directly from the soundboard and sounds incredible. It sounds as if it was made for an industry recording or a radio show but the crowd sounds limited in size so it seems it was an invite-only performance, perhaps with closest friends or maybe just the roadies. This is the point in the band's history where Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined them, leading to a success that the band had never reached before, but it's not only nice to hear songs from older albums, but also hearing Buckingham sing "The Green Manalishi (With The Two Prong Crown)". Christine McVie becomes a spokesperson for the band during the show while Nicks shows a slight shyness that would slowly loosen up as the group became more popular with their two new members. The band go as far back as 1969 to do "Oh Well". This was released by the Zion label.

Bleed Like Me is the fourth studio album recorded and produced by alternative rock group Garbage. It was released on April 11, 2005 by Universal Music Group label Geffen in North America and by Warner Bros. Records in other territories. The group chose a straight rock sound reminiscent of Garbage's live performances instead of the electronica that permeated the previous album, Beautiful Garbage (2001).

The 2CD set Nudity features The Lost Radle Tapes, which are said to be tapes made from the monitor by or for Carl Radle from the time the sessions were done. If they were reference tapes, it is uncertain if they were actually direct feeds or a microphone recording from studio monitors, which most of it sounds like. Nonetheless, it is a chance to hear the Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs in a way that was never heard, even on The Layla Sessions box set. Speaking of the box, the packaging of Nudity is made to look and feel like the box set, down to the style of fonts used. The last five songs are every existing mix made for the song "Layla", from the original mix with separated stereo mixing to a mastering made by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) to an edit made for a Japanese 3 inch CD. Five mixes of "Layla" total. The three instrumental jam sessions are major highlights too.
