Legend is a greatest hits collection of Bob Marley & The Wailers songs, released by Island Records on May 8, 1984. It is the best selling reggae album of all time (13.5 million platinum in the United States), with sales of 25 million copies. An entry in the Universal Music Entertainment (UME) Deluxe Sound+Vision series of CD/DVD combos, this repackaging unites two releases that were themselves reissues when they first appeared in 2002 and 2003: a two-CD "Deluxe Edition" of the compilation Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers, and a DVD reissue of the 52-and-1/2-minute home video of the same name, which added as a bonus the 85-minute documentary Time Will Tell.

RIBSPREADER, the Swedish "old-school death metal" band featuring guitarist/vocalist/bassist Rogga Johansson (PAGANIZER, DEMIURG, BONEGNAWER), releasec its fourth full-length album, "The Van Murders" According to a press release, the CD "sounds like the classic RIBSPREADER debut album 'Bolted to The Cross'. Armstrong who parted ways with Adrenicide in June 2010, due to personal unresolved issues within the band. Rester vrai is a 1994 album recorded by French singer Florent Pagny. It was his third studio album and was released in March 1994. It achieved moderate success in France where it remained charted for 39 weeks in the top 50, including a peak at #19 for two weeks. For the first time in Pagny's career, lyrics were written by other artists such as Jean-Jacques Goldman who participated under the pseudonym of Sam Brewski. This album provided two singles : the unsuccessful "Est-ce que tu me suis ?" (#45 in France) and the hit single "Si tu veux m'essayer" (#7 in France), which was recorded as "If You Want to Know Me" in 2009 by the Belgian singer Dana Winner for the album "Between Now and Tomorrow" with English lyrics by Michael Leahy. The music video for the track "Rester vrai" was directed by Dani Jacobs and shot in London and features Pagny trapped in a glass box in a large empty space as if he is a museum exhibit or part of an experiment.

Album Notes This series started out in 1990 as Super Hits, with each issue having a cartoonish photo/drawing as cover art. There were 20 volumes in the original Super Hits series. In 1995, the series was renamed AM Gold. The first four volumes were reissued using the new series title and a modified version of the cover art work from SUD-05, but that was soon replaced with a second AM Gold cover design that featured a gold record. The Super Hits series used the SUD- prefix, while the AM Gold series used the AM1- prefix. In the late 1990s, the AM1- prefix was replaced with the R834- prefix, but the volumes continued as before. Two AM Gold budget box sets were introduced in the late 1990s, with 12 tracks instead of the usual 18-24. These were meant for retail sales, unlike the normal subscription CDs.

The New York based string quartet Brooklyn Rider performs the complete Philip Glass string quartets including the early String Quartet No.1 (1966) and a world premiere recording of Glass s score to the 1997 film BENT starring Mick Jagger, Clive Owen, and Ian McKellen on this new 2-disc set titled Brooklyn Rider plays Philip Glass. Glass s string quartets include his score to the Samuel Beckett play Company (String Quartet No.2), the Paul Schrader film on the life of Japanese writer Yukio Mishima String Quartet No.3 Mishima and an elegiac remembrance of artist Paul Buczak in String Quartet No.4 Buczak. The fast-rising Brooklyn Rider is violinists Johnny Gandelsman, Colin Jacobsen, violist Nicholas Cords, and cellist Eric Jacobsen. The group tours extensively in the USA and abroad.

All the essentials are on disc one, which is generously crammed with choice cuts from the Aqua Net years - from the sleek glam rock of 'Too Fast For Love' and strip-club anthem 'Girls, Girls, Girls' to the runny mascara ballad 'Without You' and comedy hocus-pocus of 'Shout at the Devil'. Having just barely survived the '80s, the band gets inexplicably serious on the second disc, delving into 'Planet Boom' and 'Generation Swine'. But there's no reason to fret–the compilation is merely doing its job and succeeds brilliantly in tracing the rise and fall of a band whose legacy is turning out to be far greater than anyone ever imagined. Universal.
