The first multi-label spanning, American released Ry Cooder compilation does its best to present a coherent portrait of a musician whose wildly eclectic recordings and broad, four decade (and counting) list of releases makes that job all but impossible.

Dutch/Mexican symphonic/progressive metallers STREAM OF PASSION will release their new album, "A War Of Our Own", on April 18 via PIAS/Rough Trade. The CD is described in a press release as "the result of the struggle the band had to endure after they decided to part ways with their record label and continue on their own path."

Canberra, Australia-based progressive metal outfit AEON OF HORUS will release its sophomore effort, "Existence", on March 3. "Existence" features 50 minutes of progressive death metal and sees AEON OF HORUS explore its vast array of influences in an epic sensory experience. The effort was recorded over the course of 2012-2013 and features engineering by Clayton Segelov of the Brain Studios in Sydney, Australia, mixing and mastering by Jochem Jacobs (TEXTURES, THE RED SHORE) at Split Second Sound in Amsterdam, Netherlands and artwork by longtime collaborator Jon Hocking.
