Meet the Vamps is the debut studio album by British pop rock band The Vamps. It was released in the United Kingdom through Mercury Records on 14 April 2014. The album includes the UK top-three singles "Can We Dance", "Wild Heart" and "Last Night".

This album was a scathing attack on Nigerian soldiers using the zombie metaphor to describe the methods of the Nigerian military. The album was a smash hit with the people and infuriated the government, setting off a vicious attack against the Kalakuta Republic (a commune that Fela had established in Nigeria), during which one thousand soldiers attacked the commune. Kuti was severely beaten, and his elderly mother was thrown from a window, causing fatal injuries. The Kalakuta Republic was burned, and Kuti's studio, instruments, and master tapes were destroyed.

The Birds of Satan are an American progressive rock supergroup, assembled March 2014 as a side-project by front man Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. Following a deep and long research in musical archives, Pietro Spada was able to achieve the first ever complete recording of Sgambati's piano works. Giovanni Sgambati (1841-1914) was considered as the most important Italian pianist of the 19th Century. He was also recognized as the only true alternative to Franz Liszt who was formerly his teacher and later his best friend. He toured Europe with Liszt and altogether with him Sgambati founded the "Scuola Romana", one of the most important music schools of those years. As virtuoso piano player and composer, Sgambati performed throughout all Europe, being close friend to Wagner and Rubinstein. The most well known pianists also played his compositions until the first part of the last century. Surprisingly neglected by the record companies, Sgambati is one of the few composers that really deserve a better renown. Arts is proud to offer this complete edition in four CDs, including many unpublished works, besides famous "encores" such as the "Canzone Lituana". Pietro Spada confirms to be the most authoritative performer of Italian piano music.

THE MISSION are back with an all new studio album featuring the 1986 original lineup with Wayne Hussey, Craig Adams and Simon Hinkler plus new drummer Mike Kelly. Anyone expecting a return to old familiar musical ground for The Mission is in for a surprise. This is a new album from a band that is obviously enjoying themselves and their newly re-found camaraderie and, whilst utilising all the modern day tools available to them, has recorded a timeless, classic rock album – in the true sense of the word.

In this collection of dances and short works for Baroque guitar by Spanish composer Santiago de Murcia (1682-1732?), Paul O'Dette plays some pieces just as written and others with an accompaniment of percussion and other guitars based on clues he finds in the music suggesting supplemental instruments, and the resulting selection is delightfully varied. Murcia was a wonderfully versatile composer, as demonstrated in these delicate, reserved laments, formally sophisticated dance forms taken from French suites, and rowdy popular dances with Amerindian and African influences.
