1993's Human Cannonball was the second (and final) album from School of Fish, an alternative rock band that almost, but not quite, made it big when people cared about this kind of music.

Lone Justice started as a Los Angeles cowpunk band in 1984 that, in a short period of time, became much more before self-destructing two years later. Unfortunately for both band and public the whole thing caved in before instant MTV-type success found them.

It’s been a long time coming (six years since their last album, the highly lauded Fuck the Universe), but Swedish black metallers Craft are finally releasing their long-awaited fourth album Void on August 5th. The CD and vinyl versions of the album are being produced by Carnal Records and Trust No One Recordings, respectively. Southern Lord are handling distribution in the U.S., weirdly enough– Craft is not the kind of band you’d think they would sign.

This long-running Italian band (first demo released in 1993) return after years of inactivity! 'Fulgor' is both a return to the band's death metal roots, and an embracing of modern aesthetics, in terms of production and a little more use of melody within their raging brew.

Kiss Of The Thorn's 10 songs are a combination of solid Metal riffs and strong guitar work, heavy drums, and a slightly-evil and sinister mood combined with gloomy and dark lyrical content, which often deals with macabre subject matter and/or religion. While an enjoyable album to listen to, Kiss Of The Thorn isn't a happy disc that you'd play to cheer yourself or someone else up … unless you were an axe-murderer or something. Kiss Of The Thorn is a solid album from A Tortured Soul, and is definitely worth checking out.

Autograph (Russian: Автограф, or Avtograf) was a Soviet Russian art rock band, considered a pioneer of progressive rock music in Russia.
Autograph was a typical for a Russian rock band, playing more instrumental-based sound and much less symbolist lyrics.
After a triumphal success and exhaustive touring throughout the USSR, Autograph became the first Soviet rock-group to achieve commercial success in the West, having toured more than 30 countries. On July 13, 1985, the band - the only one to represent the entire Eastern Europe - took part in Bob Geldof's Live Aid concert, performing before more than 2.5 billion people worldwide (transmitted live from Moscow). The signature song they performed was "Нам нужен мир" (or "Nam Nuzhen Mir" - "We Need Peace").
