The Great Book of John is led by Taylor Shaw - founding guitarist of Birmingham Alabama's Wild Sweet Orange. Shaw's music is eminently lyrical - recalling Jeff Buckley's psychedelic soul, Leonard Cohen's poetic (and lacerating) wordplay, and fiery fretwork influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughn and David Gilmour as much as it is by Radiohead. The Great Book of John is a deeply-layered production brimming with amplified crunch and a thick, somnambulant atmosphere provided by Remy Zero's Jeffery Cain and Grammy-winning engineer Darrell Thorp (Radiohead, Beck, Outkast).
Swedish epic power metallers SABATON released their first-ever live album, "World War Live: Battle Of The Baltic Sea" on August 5 via Nuclear Blast Records.Commented bassist Pär Sundström: "Over the years so many people have told us we should make a live album and finally we fell to the demands of all of you, our fans."'The World War Tour' was amazing and we wanted to record it and keep the shows alive forever. So, during the magic night aboard the SABATON Cruise 2010 we recorded the whole show and now we stand ready to release it as the first-ever official SABATON live CD.

On May 28, 2011 Dimmu Borgir gave a very special one-off show at the Oslo Spektrum with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and Schola Cantorum choir – being the first ever extreme metal band to play a show live with an orchestra and choir. A live album and DVD of the show titled "Forces of the Northern Night" with an accompanying documentary is scheduled for release later this year.
This recording captures for the first time Mail's raw talent, limitless passion, incredible avant-garde style and guitar technique that made his performances so legendary. Recorded in Moscow, Russia.
