Don't Talk, Dance! is Chris Standring's latest left turn since he decided to change course from standard smooth jazz to deeper explorations into extended improvisation, string quartets, classical, now deep danceable grooves that incorporates his varied musical tastes including electronica, drum and bass, trip-hop and funky beats and make no mistake, Standring isn't half-steppin' on his commitment to aggressive infuse dance beats into his jazz guitar playing.

This whopping 30-CD box set gathers together the best of Trojan's three-disc box set series. Included are the Ska, DJ, Dub, Instrumentals, Jamaican Superstars, Lovers, Producer Series, Rocksteady, Roots, and Tribute to Bob Marley volumes, each of which can be found under Trojan Box Set for their individual reviews. What's lacking here is a booklet with additional notes and information; the bulk seems to demand some extra coverage and care, yet all that's here are the original notes of each volume – only as much text as can fit on the back of the CD sleeves.

…This won't endear Leleux to the authenticists, but he's a performer of such dexterity, charm and expressive power that any qualms soon disappear. His interpretations remain within the parameters of wit and almost operatic lyricism set by the Concerto in C, so nothing he does elsewhere seems inappropriate or forced, though a couple of the transcriptions, notably of Papageno's arias from Zauberflöte, occasionally stray towards fussy decorousness. The orchestra is the Camerata Salzburg, whose playing is clear, rich and wonderfully fluid.

The title of this budget compilation is lifted from Julie Driscoll & the Brian Auger Trinity's best-known number, the spooky reinvention of Dylan's "This Wheel's On Fire" that became a monster hit in 1968…

This album gathers up a dozen of some of his earliest hits, all cut for Duke Reid at Treasure Isle studio between 1969 and 1970. Included is one of his chartbusters, a version of the Paragons' "Wear You to the Ball." Paragon vocalist John Holt was responsible for bringing the DJ to Treasure Isle, and U-Roy repaid the singer by versioning a clutch of classic Paragons' songs, five of which appear here. …
