OK World features the exceptional talents of flamenco guitarist Josemi Carmona (Spain), multi-instrumentalist Shrikant Shriram (India/UK), percussionists Vivek Rajagopalan (India), Khaled Yassine (Lebanon), and Amadeu Cossa (Mozambique), and guest vocalists Martam Saleh (Egypt) and Georges Nehme (Lebanon), all musicians Bugge has met during his travels and tours around the world. With his growing fascination with the diverse musical cultures the world had to offer, it was inevitable that the temptation to go beyond occasional collaborations would be powerful enough to generate a band with members from across the world. The geographical and cultural diversity of OK World does not obscure the common elements in the different dialects of musical exchange.

From the 70's right through to the 90's Genesis was one of the most consistently successful Rock acts on the scene. They enjoyed a longevity exceeded only by the likes of the Rolling Stones, in the process providing a launching pad for the superstardom of members Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel. Together with Yes, they were also without doubt the most influential of all progressive rock bands.

This CD contains 5 compositions of Brian Ferneyhough created in 1980s. With exception of La Chute d'Icare all of them belongs to a larger cycle Carceri d'Invenzione. In my opinion these are some of the most imaginative works Ferneyhough has ever written. Along with Pierre Boulez's Marteau sans Maitre and Elliot Carter's A Mirror on which to Dwell, Ferneyhough's Etudes Transcendetales belongs to the most beautiful song cycles for voice and instrumental ensemble of the 2nd half of XXth century.

This recording comprises the most famous and largely played orchestral works - excepting the two Romanian Rhapsodies op.11 - by the great composer George Enescu, namely Symphony no.1 in E flat major op.13, Suite for orchestra in C major no.1 op.9 and two Intermezzi op.12. After composing the successful Symphony No 18 in C op 42 of 1937, Myaskovsky turned his attention to his former world of the army, where he had always been aware of the limitations of Russian musical repertoire for military bands. For some time he had felt a strong desire to propagate classical music among the Red Army Bands.

Despite existing only for a brief period during the early 70s and being largely obscure throughout that period, it's undoubtable that Comus was one of the most interesting bands to emerge from the folk-prog scene. It could be said that they're a far more deranged and experimental version of Jethro Tull, although to say this wouldn't quite do them justice. Their songs often go from beautiful mellow passages to strange, tribal chanting, their lyrics often being brutal and graphic (just look at "Drip Drip" from their debut album!).
