Gene Bertoncini and Jack Wilkins share the spotlight on eight guitar duets in a program of eight dazzling standards, played on stage during a 1998 jazz cruise. The former's cool style meshes beautifully with the more aggressive hard bop approach of the latter, starting with their imaginative rendition of "Lover Man." The intense interplay of "Gone with the Wind" and the lyricism of "Here's That Rainy Day" are also among the many highlights of their performances together. There's only one solo feature, Wilkins' bittersweet and carefully crafted take of Rodgers & Hart's "Spring is Here." This highly recommended duo should be considered an essential acquisition for fans of jazz guitar.

A nice mid-'80s session with the relaxed, fluid guitar of Jimmy Raney playing such standards as "The Song Is You" and "Tangerine." He's supported with style by pianist Kirk Lightsey, who emerges as the date's other dominant solo voice. The other musicians, bassist Jesper Lundgaard and drummer Eddie Gladden, are complementary figures and do their jobs competently.

The music on this album is quite different from Tangerine Dream’s first album "Electronic Meditation", because of a heavier reliance on keyboards and electronic technology, although they still mostly remain in the background: the dominant instruments on the album are organ and flute. The shift in instrumentation still resulted in an atmosphere dubbed by Edgar Froese himself as Kosmische musik.

Tug of War is the third solo studio album by English rock musician Paul McCartney, released in 1982. It is the follow-up to the 1980 album McCartney II, and his first official solo album after the dissolution of Wings in April 1981. The recording sessions for the album reunited McCartney with producer George Martin. Tug of War was also McCartney's first album after the death of his former Beatles bandmate John Lennon.
