This collection is really quite interesting. With a couple of unissued tracks, b-sides, soundtrack hits, unknown gems, this collection is a good place to go for those who only have his hits from prior compliations.

Not Fade Away (Remembering Buddy Holly) is a decidedly uneven tribute to the late, great rock & roller. Though it is clear the artists on the tribute are sincere in their affection for Holly, their covers add nothing to the original versions. Few of the selections attempt a reinterpretation of the song, and those that do aren't successful.

Fritz Reiner was one of the foremost conductors of his time. Crowning his long career in Europe and America was the decade from 1954 to 1963 as music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra an illustrious partnership that ranks along such other historical tenures as Karajan's in Berlin, Szell's in Cleveland and Bernstein's in New York.
Luckily for posterity, Reiner's legendary interpretations at the helm of the Chicago Symphony which no less than Igor Stravinsky called "the most precise and flexible orchestra in the world" were captured on record by RCA Victor. Now for the first time ever, they are being issued together in a single Sony Classical box set of 63 re-mastered CDs.

Willowglass follow up their eponymous debut album with Book Of Hours after a almost three year gap. The Book Of Hours is conceptual album based on the novel, Don Quixote. The structure of the album is the mixture of what Camel & Genesis were doing in the mid to late 70’s.

It is quite relevant to notice how many new Russian Progressive rock bands that share similarities with Emerson, Lake & Palmer are arising. In fact, in cases such as Little Tragedies, Edward Artemiev or Horizont, it would be more accurate to evoke XIXth and XXth century classical music, for Slavic culture reasons. Aviva perfectly illustrates this phenomenon. It is in fact Russian virtuoso pianist and multi-instrumentalist Dmitri Loukanienko's project. After a second opus with band name Aviva Omnibus, Dmitri Loukanienko turns back to the joys of the solitary musician, as he presents a third volume that's still quite mindblowing…

The concept of various artists re-mixing each other was pretty smart. There's a lot of good stuff on each disc, pretty eclectic, especially when the different styles of 2 artists overlap. It does remind one of how incestuous the Ambient industry is, however. Ambient Intermix consists of such artists: Omicron, Terre Thaemlitz, SETI, Unreality, Control X, Adham Shaikh and other.

"III The Rommel Chronicles" began to take shape in the second half of 2012 when HAIL OF BULLETS started writing songs for this third album which sees the band approaching things a bit differently lyric wise. Instead of describing a certain campaign or theatre of war, this album focuses on the military life, rise and fall of German field marshal Erwin Rommel. Despite fighting on the wrong side, Rommel was undeniably a great strategist who was both feared and admired by his enemies.

Formed in Germany in the late '90s, contemporary jazz and soul duo Tok Tok Tok feature vocalist Takunbo Akinro and saxophonist Morten Klein. Akinro and Klein first met while studying music in college. After performing in various ensembles, the duo came up with the concept of Tok Tok Tok and began focusing on a mix of acoustic soul, pop, and jazz. They released their debut album, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, on BHM in 1999.
