This is the first album to feature one-time John Waite bassist Donnie Nossov, who replaced Roger Capps in Benatar's band. It peaked at No. 14 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart and produced the Grammy-nominated Top Five Pop hit "We Belong". Other well-known songs from the album include "Painted Desert", "Outlaw Blues" and "Ooh Ooh Song" (also a Top 40 hit). A Spanish version "Ooh Ooh Song" was on the B-Side of the US single and appeared also on her 1999 compilation, Synchronistic Wanderings. Tropico was Benatar's sixth consecutive Platinum-certified album in the United States.

    Modern Classical, Ambient, Lounge, | MP3 320 kbps CBR | 56 min | 129 MB
Label: EMI Classics | Rel: 2004

Classically trained multi-instrumentalist Sacha Puttnam joins electronica artist Chris Coco for this update of the classical-music canon. REMASTERPIECE contains compositions by Robert Schumann, Gustav Mahler, Fryderyk Chopin, and Claude Debussy, among others, as well as 20th-century, proto-ambient composers like Erik Satie and Arvo Part. Coco and Puttnam are quite faithful to the originals in spirit and in execution, and the entire album radiates with an ambient glow. Spare, minimal compositions (like Satie's "Berceuse" and Chopin's "Raindrop Prelude") are played with grace on solo piano, while symphonic pieces (like Mahler's "Adagietto") are filtered through lush synth textures.

Raul Midon’s debut State of Mind is the sort of CD that makes R&B tastemakers twitch with pleasure. These 13 tracks are so supple, round and rich it’s safe to say the blind, New Mexico-born, half-Argentinean R&B/jazz artist is a unique hybrid of Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. There has been a lot of speculation as to whether his sightlessness has helped Midon arrive at his Wonder-esque soul and scary-real talent. Weigh in if you want, but don't expect to arrive at any satisfying conclusions.

This Asia comes from America and was active even years before the british Asia. They played a mixture of AOR, Progressive Rock and Pomprock, like a mix between Rush and Le Roux. In the late 1970s they released 2 records that have now been re-issued onto 1 CD. The CD contains 12 tracks and comes with an extensive story written by guitarist/ keyboardplayer Mike Coates. Definitely worth checking out. Unfortunately this band's history was completely overshadowed by that supergroup of the same name.

Its title notwithstanding, R&B from the Marquee was not a live album, nor was it cut at the Marquee: it was actually done at Decca Records' London studio, albeit in one long day's work and effectively live-in-the-studio. It was also the place where British blues began, at least as a recording proposition. Blues played by Britons had been part of the underground music scene since the mid-'50s, and Blues Incorporated had been a going concern in one form or another, initially guitarist Alexis Korner and harpist/singer Cyril Davies (actually, maybe the first two Britons to play blues); but by this time, the group also included Dick Heckstall-Smith (tenor sax, backing vocals), Keith Scott (piano), Spike Heatley (upright bass), and Graham Burbridge (drums), with Long John Baldry handling some lead vocals. For this record, Big Jim Sullivan also sang backup, and Teddy Wadmore provides a key cameo appearance for the electric bass guitar (then a new and alien instrument in this music).
