Casiopea was a Japanese jazz fusion band that was formed in 1976 by guitarist Issei Noro and bassist Tetsuo Sakurai. In 1977, keyboardist Minoru Mukaiya and drummer Takashi Sasaki joined the group. The group debuted with the album Casiopea in 1979, featuring Randy Brecker and Michael Brecker as guest musicians. In 1980, Takashi was replaced by Akira Jimbo. Casiopea has released over 30 albums to date in both Japan and the United States.

The Vow was founded by Ralf Link and Holger Goetz at the end of 1998. The band have dedicated themselves to NeoProgRock and reviewers often compare them to the "big ones" like IQ, Pendragon and Arena. Again and again The Vow manage to fascinate the listeners with their music and to take them along on a musical journey. Started as a 2-men studio project at the end of 1998, The Vow has changed into a classical 5-men band in the meantime after having released the CD´s "Another World" (released in 2000), "Trojan" (released in 2002) and "Devil In Disguise" (released in 2005).

"Circles" is the second album from Porcupine Tree drummer Gavin Harrison and the multi-instrumentalist, singer and extended range bass player 05Ric. This 2 disc Kscope edition includes the original album, plus a 5.1 surround mix of the album. The project is the result of a chance meeting between the two, which led to one of the most interesting musical collaborations in recent years. "Circles" picks up from where their debut album "Drop" left off. The 10 songs feature Ric's phenomenal extended range bass playing and haunting vocals, alongside Gavin Harrison's typically atypical mind-bending rhythmic designs.

As a guitarist in the `50s, Kessel was renowned for his cool, bop-inspired playing in small quartets on sessions with the Contemporary label. But in the early `60s he signed with Reprise and embarked on a series of pop records. This was hardly new territory for Kessel, as he'd been backing pop musicians for years, and was a first-call guitarist for pop titans like Phil Spector; but as a front-man, this was a break from the jazz sessions he'd previously led. On his debut for Reprise, Kessel reinterpreted Henry Mancini's soundtrack for Breakfast at Tiffany's with a septet that included the superb playing of Paul Horn on saxophone and flute.
