Although Sphere was initially formed by Kenny Barron, Buster Williams, Charlie Rouse, and Ben Riley to honor Thelonious Monk, their repertoire expanded far beyond his compositions. There is only one piece by Monk included here, a very playful arrangement of "San Francisco Holiday" (or "Worry Later," as it was tentatively titled by Riverside producer Orrin Keepnews when it was first recorded by Monk). Barron's samba "Baiana" proves to be a lively opener, while "Lunacy" is a tense post-bop chart that inspires some of the group's best playing on the date.

Don't Disturb This Groove is the fourth studio album recorded by American R&B/electro-pop band The System. Released by Atlantic Records in 1987, the album became a highlight of The System's career, as it has been the most commercially successful album, surpassing their hugely successful debut, Sweat. It reached No. 62 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the R&B Albums chart.[1][2] The album was produced by its band members, David Frank and Mic Murphy. Swedish melodic rock band Eclipse return with their fourth album and it's clear that they've found their sound before going for it full throttle. The songs on Bleed & Scream have a tendency to become a little similar, but are recorded and performed at such a high standard that Eclipse often get away with it.

More precisely, not the team itself and its leader and only permanent member of Mike Scott, a poet, a pagan and spiritualist.

Sphere's second LP focuses primarily on originals by members of the group, unlike their first album, which concentrated exclusively on the works of Thelonious Monk. The one Monk song is the infrequently heard "Played Twice"; they also add a relaxed yet solidly swinging interpretation of the old standard "If I Should Lose You." Kenny Barron contributed the Latin-flavored "El Sueño" and the turbocharged "Flight Path." Tenor saxophonist Charlie Rouse (a veteran of nearly 11 years in Monk's quartet) wrote "Pumpkin's Delight," which is easily the most intricate chart of the session.
