    The 2016 Billboard Music Awards is a music award ceremony that was held on May 22, 2016, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the first nationally televised event to originate from that venue. It aired live on ABC with hosts Ludacris and Ciara.
    The nominees were announced on April 11, 2016, with The Weeknd earning the most nominations with twenty. Britney Spears received the Billboard Millennium Award. Celine Dion received the Billboard Icon Award in recognition of her career spanning over three decades. Madonna made an appearance to pay tribute to Prince. Adele premiered the music video for her single "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" at the ceremony. The Weeknd won the most awards on the night with eight, followed by Adele with five, who won Top Artist.

    This is some beautiful music. Lots of imaginative melodies and tasteful effects, ocassionally supported by a heavier beat or two. Even later there's this electric guitar. The mood is melancholic, but positive and not cheesy at all. It's much better than all these ambient albums out there that overdo the weird effects but don't offer any real melodical ideas. Maybe it won't blow your mind, but you'll listen to this album with pleasure.

    The Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. The group disbanded in 1993 in acrimonious circumstances, but reunited in 2004. The group currently consists of founders Black Francis (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Joey Santiago (lead guitar), and David Lovering (drums). Co-founder Kim Deal (bass, backing vocals) left in 2013 and was replaced by Kim Shattuck as live bass player for a few months, then by Paz Lenchantin for the band's 2014 tour.
