The greek Ionian islands have a rich musical tradition, due mainly to Italian influences. "Cantada" is a kind of serenade developped in these islands, that combines in amazing harmony elements of the greek and italian musical cultures, giving a unique result. These songs are performed by a rich chorus, backed by mandolins and guitars. This melodic CD includes 12 popular serenades interpreted by the chorus and mandolin orchestra of the greek city of Larisa. A collector's item.
