Riding high on the phenomenal success of A Rush of Blood to the Head, Coldplay is in peak form on Coldplay Live 2003. This DVD was filmed (on Super-16mm film) and recorded in Sydney's Horden Pavilion on July 21 and 22, 2003, during an exhaustive year-long world tour, and the medium-sized arena provides a fitting stage for the London-based rock quartet, not so grand as to overwhelm the music, but large enough to indicate their large and loyal following, which includes enthusiastic fans of either gender.

ACCU§ER are a thrash metal band from Kreuztal, Germany that formed in the early 80's. Despite never being able to land a contract with a major label they continued to release a string of successful underground releases before finally disbanding in the mid-90's. After their demise, guitarist Frank Thoms and René Shultz formed a new band called Scartribe. However, whenever Scartribe performed the fans demanded to hear Accuser material, so in 2002, Frank and René decided to get Accuser back together.

Formed in 2001 out of the remaining members of the Band STEEL TORMENTOR, the german Thrash Metal outfit BITTERNESS has steadily grown up to be a force to be reckoned with. Influenced by late 80s european thrash-metal like Kreator, Destruction and Sabbat mid 90s melodic death-metal in the veins of such bands as At The Gates, Unanimated, Gates of Ishtar and Dark Tranquility& classical Heavy Metal like Running Wild, Helloween and Iron Maiden.

They were formed by friends at college (The original members consisted of Dale Butler, Alex Vuskans, Craig Thomas and Craig Fenner) and started to write their songs straight away. Their first major break was to open a four band bill charity gig at the Rivermead Centre in Reading. From then on their fanbase began to grow. Through constant touring around Reading and London, they managed to get a distribution deal for their first EP 'Relentless' through Hangman's joke.

Recorded in 1993 during the Free Music Workshop in Berlin, this date features Cecil Taylor playing in a septet setting with a group of musicians who both point back toward some of the Cecil Taylor units of old and look ahead at the possibilities for a future ensemble employing numerous instruments, not only for color and variance, but also as force creators in Taylor's wave field. ~ AllMusic

This 2010 ECM collection Solo Piano Improvisations/Children's Songs brings together three of pianist Chick Corea's '70s solo piano recordings. Included are 1971's Piano Improvisations, Vol. 1, 1972's Piano Improvisations, Vol. 2, and 1984's Children's Songs. These reflective, atmospheric, but quite technically agile recordings found Corea exploring and discovering new ways of expressing himself alone at the piano. ~ AllMusic

Face of Oblivion's roots were laid by Hensley and Brandon writing songs on guitar, then Ogar and Matt Preston (Fetus Heist) came into the band and the brutality got ratcheted up a few notches. Unfortunately shit happened and Matt decided to part ways with Face of Oblivion. This was a huge loss, but luckily for the band we were able to rebound by quickly convincing James Lee (ex-ORIGIN) to take over duties on the mic. We've finally got Cole Gunther (What Lies Within, ex-Bodies in Wake) coming in on bass duties, so we're going full force, and we won't stop for anything!

The Greatest Hits, So Far mines the singles PiL released through 1990. Ten years after its release, it was doubtful that a second volume would surface (the '90s saw one lone studio release, not to mention a John Lydon "solo" record), so thankfully Lydon didn't embarrass himself by titling it "The Greatest Hits, Volume One."
