"Crossroad Message" was released 2002 and previously only available in Japan. "Tales From The Bone" was released in 1999 and previously only available on vinyl. Both albums have been remastered with 11 tracks added. Containing everything from the bands first demos dating back to 1996 to the Crossroad Message epic outtake "For The Weak" it's a great collection of Mojobone's own brand of heavy rock.

Ce CD est exceptionnel. Toutes les chansons sont bonnes. Il y a un équilibre parfait entre le texte la mélodie les arrangements et la musique, ce CD est digne des plus grands de l'histoire de la musique québécoise. C'est du folk country rock atmosphérique achevé, fignolé, parsemé de violon cor français et hautbois. La voix particulière de Catherine Durant si douce et juste se marie si bien avec la musique qu'elle a crée. Ce CD n'est pas très radio FM, au printemps 2009 elle fera la première partie de Francis Cabrel lors de sa tournée québécoise, peut-être celà lui ouvriera les portes d'un large publique. C'est à souhaiter.

Although there are few actual blues on Black and Blue, pianist Gene Harris gives all of the songs (whether complex standards, ballads or near-blues) a bluesy feel, adding soul and a church feeling to each of the melodies.
