These musicians came out of Coventry and made one sole album released on Neon Records that did not manage to promote their artists correctly, although Indian Summer had the same management as Black Sabbath. Their album consists of fairly long numbers with much KB-driven hard rock and lots of instrumental interplay - a typical release of the times. Although the band could be placed among the likes of Mk2, Purple or Uriah Heep, they manage to have a sound of their own. This is a basic quartet - Harker on bass, Hooper on drums, Bob Jackson's KB & vocals, and Colin Williams's guitar - but they have enough tricks up their sleeves to keep you interested and enthused throughout the album.

This captivating concert was filmed on April 22nd,2012, in intimate surroundings in front of a receptive audience. They had every reason to be so as on stage were the legendary Crosby, Stills and Nash. The saying goes that you're only as good as your last performance, and on this evidence they are very, very good. Their interaction with the audience confirmed the mutual repartee.

This big-band date by Bob Mintzer from the early '90s utilizes some of the Big Apple's top available musicians of the era, including trumpeters Marvin Stamm and Randy Brecker, saxophonists Scott Robinson and Roger Rosenberg (both of whom double on clarinet), and pianist Phil Markowitz. Mintzer has moved freely between contemporary and mainstream jazz depending on the record date and personnel, but on this DMP release he incorporates a bit from each style.

This is the fourth and final volume of colourful and highly appealing orchestral works by the Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen. The series is performed by the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra under Neeme Järvi.

The works of some composers, like Villa-Lobos, do not receive the attention they deserve. This double CD with the five piano concertos by Villa-Lobos is sheer delight. The music is romantic and original. The performance of the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra, under Miguel Gomez-Martinez, is more than good. The pianist, Cristina Ortiz, plays in a flawless manner, well integrated with the orchestra. The sound quality of the recording is excellent.
