Geffen was and is extremely popular among Israeli youth, who were known during the 1990s as the "Moonlight Children". Politically, he associates with the Israeli left. His music deals with subjects such as love, peace, death, suicide, politics, the army in general and the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) specifically. He is often criticized for not serving in the IDF, though, officially, he was discharged for medical reasons.

The song was also an anthem of 'The Benny Hill Show'. In his long career Piero Umiliani composed and recorded 190 soundtracks, 40 library albums and 35 TV title themes.

John Philip Sousa (Washington DC, 1854-1932), American composer and bandleader, of Austro-Portuguese descent, was recognized mainly for their enormous and prestigious building of military and patriotic marches, which he composed 136. It was called the 'King of the March'. This album is the second of a 5 part series on the Naxos label dedicated to his music. It is interprets by the 'Royal Artillery Band' directed by Keith Brion, a musician expert in the music of Sousa.

Work by Argentine jazz saxophonist and composer Leandro 'Gato' Barbieri (Rosario, 1932). Began his career in the late 50's and after his collaboration with pianist Lalo Schifrin and trumpeter Don Cherry, he began his career as a leading group in the late 60s. The music of this album unfolds between the soul-jazz and pop-jazz, knowing to be warm, caring, cool, romantic, spicy and playful. The most prominent theme is 'Europe' (great work of Carlos Santana released on his album 'Amigos', also released in 1976), being intense in hearing. Gato melts sax with keyboards, synthesizer, strings and electric guitars offering friendly dyes jazz and Latin rock.

This classic album pairs legendary jazz violinist Joe Venuti with the remarkable Dutch Swing College Band, a Dixieland revival band with a recording history that stretches from 1945 to the present day. Apart from this historic meeting with the original master of the jazz violin, the Dutch Swing College Band have shared the studio with American jazz icons Teddy Wilson, Sidney Bechet, Bud Freeman, Billy Butterfield and others. Recorded in 1971, the Venuti sessions yielded many fine performances including wonderful renditions of the Eddie Lang/Joe Venuti penned instrumentals, "Wild Dog," and "Wild Cat".

The Symphony in C is an early work by the French composer Georges Bizet. According to Grove's Dictionary, the symphony "reveals an extraordinarily accomplished talent for a 17-year-old student, in melodic invention, thematic handling and orchestration." Bizet started work on the symphony on 29 October 1855, four days after turning 17, and finished it roughly a month later. (…) The symphony was immediately hailed as a youthful masterpiece on a par with Felix Mendelssohn's overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream, written at about the same age, and quickly became part of the standard Romantic repertoire. It received its first recording on 26 November 1937, by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Walter Goehr.
