After three albums of more or less mediocre but entertaining Philly-disco stuff, Grace entered the 80s with a total transition. Despite some future weak LP’s or mainstream/cashing machine approximations, there’s no way to ignore the fact that Brian Auger is a master groover and one of the first to have successfully plunged in Fusion (taken in its wider meaning) waters; on the other hand Julie Driscoll appears as having always functioned as a creative/inspirational muse for our man, in that all their collaborations bore tasteful fruits; that said this album is in my opinion here to prove it!

This is an amazing, 2 DVD + 3 CD package! Dream Theater began their mammoth A Dramatic Tour Of Events world trek in July 2011 with the final leg in South America taking place in August 2012. It was here at the Luna Park arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina that they decided to film the two nights that go to make up this DVD release. It was Dream Theater s first tour with new drummer Mike Mangini and all the tracks from their first album together A Dramatic Turn Of Events are included in either the main show or the bonus performances. Dream Theater are rock's supreme virtuosos with many awards to their name and here in concert they bring all the power and drama of their music to life with breathtaking performances of classic tracks from across their career.
Outstanding folk-jazz album. I think this is my favourite Garbarek album; it is tightly-focused, composed and performed. The whole album evokes life in the northwoods and carries a real outdoors feel. The best tracks are Molde 4, His Eyes Were Suns, and the title track, but each cut is interesting and moving. My only complaint is that the production is somewhat suspect. I find myself needing to adjust the volume constantly – either the sax is too loud or the background too quiet. I own the original CD, though, not the remaster. Maybe the remaster is normalized a little better.
"R&B Love Songs" is a budget-priced U.K. compilation from Sony that features 38 songs, most of which were hit singles. Its selections span the '70s through the early 2010s, but there is a definite emphasis on later material, and the sequencing gradually works its way toward a little earlier fare from the likes of Billy Ocean ("Suddenly"), Mtume ("Juicy Fruit"), and Heatwave ("Always and Forever").
This year disappeared flamenco guitarist Miguel Vega de la Cruz , aka 'Niño Miguel '. Uncle also of great guitarist 'Tomatito' learned from his father the art of the guitar and being 10 years old played all flamenco forms, while it was able to adapt classical music pieces to his guitar. Miguel only recorded two albums for the story, ' The Guitar Miguel Child ' (1975 ) and ' Different ' ( 1976), which are collected in this 2006 recording , by many experts, even the great figures (Tomatito, Rafael Riqueni, etc.) attributed an enormous musical talent and an exceptional gift that could revolutionize the touch of flamenco guitar. Niño Miguel could have been one of the two or three greatest flamenco guitarists in history. In his brief career shine creative and interpretative issues such as 'flamenco waltzes' (he is the only guitarist who created the waltz like flamenco music) or 'farruca' dedicated to his father. This is an undisputed disc for flamenco guitar collection.
