Matangi is the fourth studio album by British-Tamil recording artist M.I.A., released in November 2013 on her own label, N.E.E.T. Recordings, through Virgin and Interscope Records. Songwriting and production for the album were primarily handled by M.I.A. and Switch, with additional contributions from Hit-Boy, Surkin, Danja and The Partysquad.

The unique quartet recordings by Archie Shepp and Bill Dixon. Their only known recorded works together consist of the studio quartet album made for Savoy in October 1962 - presented here on CD for the first time ever. As a bonus to this interesting album, we have added Archie Shepp’s only other recording session for the Savoy label, with the New York Contemporary Five including Don Cherry on one track; and Bill Dixon’s second recording session, in a septet format.

Recorded live at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York on February 15, 2013, Dark Roots of Thrash, a riff on the name of the thrash legends' 2011 tenth studio album Dark Roots of Earth, offers up 18 blistering live cuts spread over two discs, including longstanding Testament classics like “Burnt Offerings,” “Apocalyptic City,” “Disciples of the Watch,” and “Into the Pit,” and current fan favorites such as “DNR (Do Not Resuscitate),” “True American Hate,” and “Native Blood.”..

Second album dedicated to the music of Spanish 'zarzuela' and fifth of his career published by the Spanish musician, composer and conductor Luis Cobos, after the huge success achieved with the first one in 1982. Both works were recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Many of his albums have led to the popularization of classical and popular music. Cobos productions are usually potpourris, which in this case are engaged in numerous 'zarzuelas' passages (preludes, intermediates, parades, romances or styles like 'jota', waltz, 'pasodoble', etc..)

Album with Latin songs performed by popular Cuban pianist Enrique Chia (Cienfuegos, 1940's) and accompanied vocally by the Cuban mezzo-soprano Marta Pérez (Havana, 1924-2009), the 'Diva of Cuba', which received in December 2003 a great tribute in Miami. Chia has released more than 40 albums, recorded only with piano and other accompaniment, orchestral, instrumental and singers of international standing, as in the case of Marta Perez. She, despite her lyrical vocal style, has not strayed from popular music, that she mixed dose of emotion and refinement.

Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (4 March 1678 – 28 July 1741), nicknamed il Prete Rosso ("The Red Priest") because of his red hair, was an Italian Baroque composer, Catholic priest, and virtuoso violinist, born in Venice. Recognized as one of the greatest Baroque composers, his influence during his lifetime was widespread over Europe. Vivaldi is known mainly for composing instrumental concertos, especially for the violin, as well as sacred choral works and over forty operas. His best known work is a series of violin concertos known as The Four Seasons.

Jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein was born September 3, 1967, in New York City. He got his first break while attending the New School when he met Jim Hall, who recruited him for a concert of guitarists as part of the 1990 JVC Jazz Festival in New York. The show was recorded by MusicMasters and issued as Live at Town Hall, Vol. 2. Bernstein quickly began playing with other jazz musicians, notably appearing on albums by Lou Donaldson, Michael Hashim, Larry Goldings, Mel Rhyne, Jesse Davis, and Geoff Keezer.
