Bebo is considered one of the figures of the golden age of Cuban music and also performer of Afro-Cuban jazz. Since his departure from Cuba in 1960 to settle permanently in Sweden in 1963, Bebo disappeared from the musical memories of his Cuban people and spent more than 30 years out of his career until he reappeared in 1994 managing to recover his memory and triumphing with several of his jobs at the Grammy Awards. This album is a reissue of a compilation of recordings made in 1959, shortly before his departure from Cuba, with his orchestra (the first 11 issues), to which is added 4 Bebo cuts playing piano and featuring the ensemble 'Los Cordobeses'.

Kaempert always devoted to pleasant music (easy listening), catchy and danceable and composed songs that have been world milestones in light music and have stood the test of time. His music is easily recognizable by its unique sound. This album, the eleventh and one of the largest of its production, samples the personal sound of Kaempfert, with his great big-band and the role of the metal and trumpet.

Keith Jarrett feels that this is his finest solo concert; having "courted the flame for a very long time," he writes, this music speaks "the language of the flame itself." Perhaps playing in the European-tradition-encrusted Vienna Staatsoper had an overt influence, for never has a recorded Jarrett solo concert fallen into such a logical, even classical overall structure as this one – all on the wing, mind you.

…As is always the case with compilations of such early and rare recordings, the sound quality varies widely, with a hiss ranging from barely noticeable to hissing at the same volume as any of the instruments. Nonetheless, this compilation makes an important addition to the library of roots music fans who can overlook sound quality inconveniences for the recordings' historical importance.

GENERATION KILL, the band featuring EXODUS frontman Rob Dukes, will release its sophomore album, "We're All Gonna Die", on November 15 via Nuclear Blast. The CD was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has previously worked with SUICIDE SILENCE, ALL THAT REMAINS, SHADOWS FALL and SOULFLY, among others.

Dark Wings of Steel is the tenth full-length studio album by the Italian symphonic power metal band Rhapsody of Fire. Following the various line-up changes since the previous album From Chaos to Eternity in 2011, Dark Wings of Steel is the first album of the band to not feature guitarist and founding member Luca Turilli, and the first with guitarist Roberto De Micheli and bass guitarist Oliver Holzwarth.

Max Reger's music is complex, difficult, studious, technically great but emotionally lacking, and the fact that on most photographs of him he looks quite grumpy fits the image.

It would be difficult to imagine an album project more ambitious than "Beneath the Waves", a concept album sprung from the blood, sweat and tears of Rob Reed, founder of welsh progressive-rock band Magenta. Not only has Reed spent three years concocting this gem, gathering leading prog talents, but he managed to finish it in the same year his regular band has already produced a very good album, Chameleon. It is not unheard of -Gahalad for example has published two pretty good albums of new material in 2012- but it is still a tour de force.
