The legendary heavy metal band fronted by Ozzy Osbourne captured live in performance in Melbourne, Australia in 2013. The tour was in support of the band's new album, '13' (2013), and saw them perform a mixture of new tracks and old favourites such as 'War Pigs', 'Paranoid' and 'Black Sabbath'.

René Drouard de Bousset (1703-1760) is one of those French composers who, during their lifetimes, were the latest sensations but after brief flashes of popularity pretty much vanished from history. A student of Nicolas Bernier, he was employed primarily as an organist at a Parisian parish church and had a career ahead of him as a normal musician.

Virulent Rapture is the fifth studio album by British band Hecate Enthroned, and their first major release in 9 years since 2004's Redimus. It was released in 25 November 2013 via Crank Music Group, being their first album to be so, as well as their first release with vocalist Elliot Beaver and drummer Gareth Hardy on the line-up, who replaced long-time vocalist and drummer Dean Seddon and Robert Kendrick, respectively (both were fired in 2012).

The combination of tuba player Sam Pilafian and guitar virtuoso Frank Vignola seems a strange combination on a predominently jazz album but thanks to the quality of musicianship that they both possess, it works well, through tunes by the likes of Django Reinhart, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington.

Recording performed with his own group to the Mercury label by Italian musician, pianist, arranger and composer, based in USA, Pete Rugolo (Sicily, 1915-2011). During the 50 Rugolo went to the pop style and worked primarily preparing arrangements for pop and jazz singers (June Christy, Harry Belafonte, Nat King Cole, Billy Exkstine, Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee and The Diamonds among others), but he was also musical director of Mercury Records from 1957. During the 60s and 70s to early 80s departed jazz but was noted for his abundant work for TV. Rugolo won three Emmy Awards and two Grammy. This album features twelve songs with his little big band with a marked swing style.

Showtime, Storytime is a double CD from Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Nuclear Blast recorded their live performance at the Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany on August 3, 2013. Showtime, Storytime is the first Nightwish production to feature Floor Jansen on vocals. She initially replaced previous vocalist Anette Olzon during their North America tour leg, and on October 9, 2013, it was revealed that she would become an official band member, alongside with Troy Donockley.

A study of Viennese-born composer Ernst Krenek's prodigious output is rather like a study of twentieth century music in microcosm. Krenek moved with ease through the various aesthetic and stylistic changes that marked that turbulent century, taking what he considered the best features of each and fusing them into a new language all his own. Born in August of 1900, Krenek began musical training at the age of 6, and later studied privately with Franz Schreker in Vienna before enrolling for formal training with the same at the Berlin Conservatory in 1920……

The 24 Barefoot Songs for voice and piano (1943—45) are Pettersson’s settings of his own poems, and as such form a singularly profound portrait of the composer. Their importance can be measured by the fact that Pettersson throughout his life returned to themes from the collection, reusing them in his large-scale works. It was Doráti who suggested the orchestration of eight of the songs, a task with which he was entrusted by the composer. The two concertos for strings were composed in 1950 and 1956 respectively, and already ……
