The debut recording of Peter Evans’ “Zebulon” trio, recorded at and named after the now defunct Brooklyn club. Recorded over two nights in March 2012, the trio of Peter Evans (trumpet), John Hйbert (bass) and Kassa Overall (drums) explores four new compositions by Evans in a rare instrumental format. Andrey Henkin of All About Jazz New York described the group’s original appearance at Zebulon in 2010 saying: “Three distinct species of the jazz genus came together to form some all-powerful mutant.” This is the second release on Evans’ More is More label, following the success and critical acclaim of “Ghosts.”

Death was an American metal band founded in 1983. The band's founder, Chuck Schuldiner, is considered "a pioneering force in death metal". The band ceased to exist after Schuldiner died of brain cancer in 2001, though it remains an enduring metal brand.Death is considered one of the most influential bands in metal.

Album by Spanish pianist and composer Tete Montoliu (1933-1997), recorded in Madrid on October 24, 1996, just ten months before his death and penultimate of his recording career. Back in 1969 Tete had recorded his first album performing songs by Joan Manuel Serrat. Tete said his admiration for Serrat was derived from composing music that gave him the chance to play it on the piano in jazz language, without neglecting any of his improvisations on themes.

Wagner Reloaded-Live in Leipzig is the first live album and eleventh album overall by the Finnish cello metal band Apocalyptica. It was released on the 15th November, 2013 in Finland and 18th November 2013 elsewhere. It was released three years after their previous studio album 7th Symphony. The time period allowed the band to prepare for a special live event to celebrate the anniversary of Richard Wagner's 200th Birthday. On 5th and 6th July 2013 the Leipzig Arena witnessed the sold-out première of “Wagner Reloaded”.

In an all too small discography, Freddie Redd's Shades of Redd is without a doubt his crowning achievement. Completed after a successful stint composing music for the stage play The Connection, Redd wrote music specifically geared for his two formidable front line saxophonists – emerging alto giant Jackie McLean and the unsung hero of the tenor, Tina Brooks. Redd, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Louis Hayes, fresh out of the Detroit scene, took New York City by storm playing clubs and working with Redd when he was not doing production music.

Born overseas, from blends music of black Americans, jazz arrived in France around the First World War and quickly sparked a craze, especially in Paris. Stars like Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt gave the French jazz originality and style, making French the first jazz style of jazz created outside the United States. This double CD includes a trip to the French country jazz, along with the many jazzmen who made his fame and whose legacy is still felt today through the many jazz festivals that take place every year, and through the interest shown by the fans.
