A punk compilation which truly reflects the label's ethos of 'Unheard' ('Whips And Furs' - The Vibrators), 'Unearthed' ('Ain't No Legend' - The Maniacs) and all of it 'Rediscovered'. Happening, Alive and Nasty pays thrilling testament to the brief period when the music business had no idea what it was dealing with, when the doors flung open to mavericks, weirdo's and inspired innovators. The real spirit of punk - the full glorious, ear-bashing mess - was much more exciting than anything that would be defined. The album features Generation X's debut 'Your Generation', Buzzcocks and Wire B-Sides, rarities from the Stranglers and the never issued second Vibrators single 'Bad Time'.
The label Unison Music published from 1995 a series of several albums devoted to environmental and personalized Christmas music each for a preferred instruments (piano, guitar, saxophone, etc..), with plug 'Winterlude' in the title. In this CD is the saxophone the instrument to which prominence is given, but not definitive. With musical arrangements by guitarist and arranger Mark Baldwin, the record offers 9 songs played by a group of 7 musicians led by saxophonist Mark Douthit (sax tenor and soprano), also integrating Baldwin himself (with electric and acoustic guitars), Patin Bob and Tim Akers (keyboards), Gary Lunn (bass), John Hammond (drums) and Eric Darken (percussion).
Keith B. Brown is recognized as one of the greatest bluesmen of his generation. His record and his powerful live performances, the coexistence of traditional blues and more contemporary compositions, impeccable musicianship and knowledge, we can understand why he is recognized as one of the hopes of revival of modern acoustic blues.

A study of Viennese-born composer Ernst Krenek's prodigious output is rather like a study of twentieth century music in microcosm. Krenek moved with ease through the various aesthetic and stylistic changes that marked that turbulent century, taking what he considered the best features of each and fusing them into a new language all his own. Born in August of 1900, Krenek began musical training at the age of 6, and later studied privately with Franz Schreker in Vienna before enrolling for formal training with the same at the Berlin Conservatory in 1920……

This attractive LP gives one a definitive look at clarinetist Pete Fountain in his early days. With fine backup from vibraphonist Godfrey Hirsch, pianist Merle Koch, bassist Don Bagley and drummer Jack Sperling, Fountain enthusiastically and melodically swings his way through ten veteran standards. The music falls between swing and Dixieland and is consistently joyous; in other words, it's a typically enjoyable Pete Fountain set.
In 2004 Alexander Frauchi was awarded with the First Class Order of the Defendant of Motherland for his outstanding service in the performing arts and teaching.
