Jean-Pascal Boffo has been the first artist signed by Musea, when the French Progressive rock label started in 1985. This incredible guitar player from Eastern France created a beautiful discography displaying a rarely equaled diversity and brilliance. 1987's "Carillions" brought back the pure-form experimentalism of Mandragore, with jazz-inspired sessions and richer arrangements, electric as well as acoustic this time around.

    Death/Thrash Metal | Label : Napalm Records

LEGION OF THE DAMNED has always been a reliable source of first-class Thrash Metal and the latest album "Ravenous Plague" continues this tradition in a remarkable way. Songs like 'Summon all Hate', 'Armalite Assassin' and 'Ravenous Abomination' show the crew from its best and most aggressive side. Melodic leads, murderous riffs, furious grooves and rock-hard drums are crowned by the merciless vocals of frontman Maurice Swinkels and create an intensive listening experience. The production was overseen by sound wizard Andy Classen himself. "Ravenous Plague" is a brutal and uncompromising riff bombardment that will set a new standard for the genre!

From Putumayo a delightful album focused on Brazil's acoustic music. A nice set of low-key sambas, bossa nova, and acoustic guitar melodies sung in Portuguese, one of the world's most musical languages. A relaxing mix of old and new, with legendary performers like Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso and Chico Buarque crooning alongside more contemporary voices like Teresa Cristina, Lucas Santtana and Márcio Faraco. Putumayo once more created an excellent album. Don't miss it.

I was feeling completely uninspired and non-creative, for a long time, and then I went on tour in June 2012, which reignited a flame of inspiration in me. I came home feeling completely energized and alive, the creativity flowing out of me faster than I could keep up. Most of the music from this album was written during that time, when my muse had been awoken.

Talking Mantovani music has always been about quality music. Only the great conductors have managed to transform the somewhat monotonous musical landscape of light music. And Mantovani was one of the highlights. He has brought a new field of excellence to the music with the idea of holding the melodic lines of the issues with repeated waves of sound. And that has become his interpretations as unique. Forty top musicians gather under his baton to interpret twelve selected topics.

Her playing radiates with the love she has for traditional (and not so traditional) Celtic music - always playing with the clear and precise intonation for which she is known. After spending time in Ireland she was inspired by the music, the musicians, the history and the kindness of the people - much of which is reflected on the album.

The first two albums by UFO featured an odd mix of crisp, focussed songs alternating with meandering electric guitar-led soundscapes. Flying starts off with perhaps their best of the former category, "Silver Bird." This story of a primitive islander seeing an airplane for the first time begins with a pleasant little acoustic guitar melody and builds into a soaring full-band musical expression of the wonder of flight. The next cut, all 19 minutes of it, conjures up the vaster expanses of space.

In fall 2004, Torsten Pröfrock became a member of Monolake. Monolake's minimal, dub-influenced techno music helped establish the sound of the Chain Reaction label, also located in Berlin, subsequently using their own (Monolake / Imbalance Computer Music) label for the group's output. ~Wikipedia

Small Talk's singles were "Time For Livin'" (the band's final Top 40 hit) and "Loose Booty", an up-tempo funk track which uses the names of Bible characters Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego as a chant. Pictured on the album cover with Sly in a photograph by Norman Seeff are his then-wife Kathleen Silva and his son Sylvester, Jr.
