Eskimo Callboy is a six-piece trancecore/post-hardcore-band from Castrop-Rauxel, Germany formed in 2010. The band consists of vocalist Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler, vocalist and keyboardist Kevin Ratajczak, the guitarists Daniel Haniß and Pascal Schillo, bassist Daniel Klossek and drummer David Friedrich.

Bojan Z's latest release for Label Bleu is perhaps his most satisfying work to date, showcasing his considerable compositional skills whilst allowing equal representation to the fine musicians who excel throughout. The opening track, "Ulaz, is a definite highlight. Hypnotic drums, however gentle, with brushes and washing cymbals, a heavily plucked acoustic bass pulse, and a kaval (a Balkan flute) float ethereally in the background like some ancient spirit being evoked. It is not until a minute and forty seconds later that the splash of three piano notes arrives like the first drops of rain.

Lacerated And Carbonized was formed in 2006 by Jonathan Cruz (vocals), Caio Mendonça (guitars), Paulo Doc (bass) and Victor Mendonça (drums).The band comes from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a city that stages at the same time astonishingly beautiful settings and a murky underworld of violence and degradation almost never seen by outsiders. This innate attitude is unmistakenly noticed in every aspect of their unrelenting, visceral Death Metal.

Tony Palmer's excellent documentary film "Rory Gallagher: Irish Tour '74" arrives on Blu-ray courtesy of Eagle Rock Entertainment. The supplemental features on the disc include footage from Rory Gallagher's Japanese tour of the same year; audio commentary by Donal Gallagher and Gerry McAvoy; and a wonderful documentary produced for RTE (Irish Television Network) in 1972. Live in Amsterdam, Holland - Concertgebow, September 17, 1969. This is a more complete recording than the normal FM braodcast ROIO's of this show and hence it is some 10 minutes longer and does not have the interruptions to the programme that the FM version has. 'The Man and the Journey' were one of Pink Floyd's early concept-shows performed the first time April 14, 1969 in Royal Festival Hall, London. The event was titled 'The Massed Gadgets Of Auximenes - More Furious Madness From Pink Floyd'.

This mid-'80s concert is unusual in that it mixes five guitarists from diverse backgrounds onto the same stage. Tal Farlow, a bop master is the senior player, with post-bopper John Abercrombie, Larry Carlton (fusion), plus Larry Coryell and John Scofield (who straddle both post-bop and fusion), bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Billy Hart. Although such a collection of musicians has the potential to cause a train wreck, the musicians share the spotlight generously, complementing one another's solos brilliantly throughout a set mixing standards and classic jazz compositions plus a bossa nova. Best are the extended workouts of "Autumn Leaves" and "All Blues." The major bones to pick with this release include its unimaginative packaging and the lack of liner notes, as only seasoned jazz listeners will be able to identify each guitarist in turn.
