HATCHERY’s new album “Forced To Fight” comes three years after their “Birth Of A Bomb” debut while two demo CDs had preceded this semi-official discography. Drawn in all but one instance from material issued previously on DVD by EMI, this video tribute to Maria Callas, marking the 30th anniversary of her death in September 1977, does its job for the most part strikingly well. In fact, there’s one item—a film of Callas singing “Casta diva” from an RAI-Rome New Year’s Eve telecast at 9 p.m. on December 31, 1957—that may in itself warrant your purchase of this DVD. Missing from the chronology of filmed performances in the final edition of John Ardoin’s The Callas Legacy (4th edition; Amadeus Press, 1995), and missing also from some of the “complete” performance chronologies elsewhere in the Callas literature, it appears here, “for the first time on DVD,” as a “special bonus feature”. This is a historic document.

This album has everything a KISS album should have:hard rock anthems, fast-fingured guitar solos, explosive lyrics, heart-felt power balads and the fun spirit of KISS. If I were to recommend a KISS album to anyone it would be this one simply because its just a really fun album that has something for metal fans as well as ballad loving folks…

The Quireboys are an English hard rock band formed in 1984 in London, England. "Bitter Sweet & Twisted" is The Quireboys's second studio album, released in 1993. The album was released on EMI and went into the UK Albums Chart at #31.

Veeeery interesting! I've seen more surf CDs in the past few weeks than I had in the six months before them, and I like what I'm hearing. Bands are still experimenting, pushing the envelope, fusing different musical threads to surf to create new sounds, which is quite exciting.
