In the mid 90’s, just when the whole Melodic Rock scene was almost devastated, the Swedish band Amaze Me released three excellent Melodic Rock/AOR albums: 'Amaze Me', 'Dream On' and 'Wonderland'. Outstanding vocals and a great mix of heavy guitars and atmospheric keyboards plus outstanding songwriting were Amaze Me trademarks. That band was actually a pair, consisting of lead vocalist Conny Lind (ex-Great King Rat, Talk of the Town and Vision) and songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Peter Broman.
This compilation gathers the best tracks from the aforementioned three albums, completely remastered by Chris Lyne. All 18 songs on their Best Of-CD are instantly likeable and catchy as hell. "Ultimate Collection" is a pot gold for every serious melodic rock fan. If you have never heard Amaze Me, don't miss this brilliant collection.

Settings of A. Blok's poems occupy a special place in Georgi Sviridov's work. For many years the composer has addressed his favourite poet discovering still newer facets of Alexander Blok's poetry. G. Sviridov has the honour of discovering another great poet of Russia, Sergei Esenin, for music. One of these discovering was "Cast Off Russia".
There is no Esenin's work of the same name. Poetical images created a kind of a large fresco which the composer so masterfully sets in motion with the rhvthms of his music. Music and melody enhance Esenin's poetry, full of images, which is like a song not in genre or form, but as an inherent creative pulse, as an irresistible urge to pour out his feelings in a song.

Agnes Caroline Thaarup Obel (born 1981) is a Danish singer/songwriter. Her first album, Philharmonics, was released by PIAS Recordings on 4 October 2010 in Denmark, Norway, Germany and other European countries. Since February 2011, Philharmonics is certified double platinum. Agnes Obel was born Agnes Caroline Thaarup Obel in 1981. Living in Copenhagen, and coming from a musician family, Agnes Obel learned piano at a very young age. Her mother used to play Bartók and Chopin at the piano. During her childhood, Agnes Obel found inspiration in Jan Johansson's work. Johansson's songs, European folk tunes done in a jazzy style, have influenced the young musician a lot….
