    A really rare CD with one of the last "salterio" virtuosi, Maestro Pedro Ruiz. "Salterio" or "Psalterio" is the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese term for a special type of zither, with a sweet glissando sound. It is played with the fingers with the addition of a kind of "nail" that produces its unique sound. In this CD you will find many traditional Mexican tunes played with a remarquable artistry and conveying a delightful euphoric feeling. The solo salterio is backed by a guitar and a bass. Included there is a nice booklet in English and French, with interesting informastion for all the pieces played. An outstanding rare album, in lossless.
