Corrosion of Conformity is the eponymously-titled eighth studio album by the American metal band Corrosion of Conformity, to be released on February 28, 2012 by Candlelight Records. It will be Corrosion of Conformity's first album since In the Arms of God (2005), their longest gap to date between studio albums. It will also be the band's first album with Reed Mullin on drums since 2000's America's Volume Dealer and the first to not feature Pepper Keenan on vocals and guitar since 1987's Technocracy.
Compilation album released in 1989 in America and also distributed in Europe, with a double selection of songs performed separately by the universal Italian saxophonist Fausto Papetti (1923-1999) and by the Tropical Serenade Orchestra. As the title of the CD is a monograph devoted to the music of Brazil and its best authors.
Recorded live in 1995 (but not released until 1998) at Yoshi's in Oakland, CA, Robben Ford is joined by long-time Blue Line trio members Roscoe Beck on bass and Tom Brechtlein on drums, as well as Bill Boublitz on a baby grand piano. Although nearly all of the songs can be found on other Ford albums (most are from Handful of Blues), one of the things that makes this jazzy recording so special is that Ford is playing only an acoustic guitar.
