Music of this Saty's work transmits a little piece of Eastern wisdom. Skillful and sofisticated use of traditional Eastern instruments combines with ethereal electronic pads - it is a real mastery, worthy the most careful attention. The composer has made a great musical exploration and found those important particles which are completely able to transmit spirit and beauty of Eastern traditions. The album is divided on two logical parts. The first is more common and represents traditional ambient with slow sound evolution. The second part paints visions of the city Mumbai in India and is more instrumental, sometimes adjoining with traditional ragas.

In 1978 Eliades Ochoa took the lead of Cuarteto Patria (literally Motherland Quartet) as director, music arranger, leading voice and guitarist. They toured around the world with great success. In 1989 Francisco Repilado (aka Compay Segundo) joined the band. His composition "Chan Chan" made the opening track of Chanchaneando, the album they recorded that year, and eventually the opening track of Buena Vista Social Club. Eliades Ochoa took from Compay his long experience. Compay provided compositions and second voice, hence the nickname Segundo (Second). Little did they know 10 years later crowds around the world would be crazy about them.

    Industrial Death Metal

Fear Of Dominations second full-length album to date. The first single ‘New World’ is the first song on this record therefore it should be known. If not, in short: the song sounds a lot mature compared to their debut but at the same time it sounds a lot like Turmion Kätilöt. But you get this impression several times throughout the whole record (i.e. ‘Destroy & Dominate’). TK seems to be an influence for this band and of course on this record .

Soen features Martin Lopez (former Amon Amarth and Opeth) on drums and Steve DiGiorgio (former Testament, Death, Sadus and Iced Earth) on bass. The vocalist, Joel Ekelöf, has an incredibly impressive voice. It is brilliant. Get on this. The Swedes do really know how to make great progressive music.

Happy coincidences can often lead to extraordinary results. No-one could have foreseen that Lars Danielsson and the Armenian pianist Tigran would pair up to form the new dream duo of the European jazz scene, when in fact the two musicians played their first concert together only one week before the scheduled recordings of Liberetto. It was clear from the first note that two musical soulmates had found each other, and despite it happening by coincidence the result of their meeting was all the more intense. On Liberetto Lars Danielsson remains true to his musical language and style, with often melancholic and uniquely fragmented melodies, a search for new musical spaces and an inherent sense of lyricism.

Karol Szymanowski spent his early years in Ukraine (where many affluent Polish families still owned land at the time). An injury to the leg forced young Karol into a life of relative inactivity, and, from age seven on, attendance at school was replaced by rigorous musical studies (first under his father's tutelage, and then, from 1892 on, at Gustav Neuhaus' music school in Elisavetgrad). Although early training focused on the piano, Neuhaus was quick to observe his young student's potential as a composer. While in Elisavetgrad, Szymanowski was introduced to the German classics as well as to Chopin and Scriabin. After studies with Noskowski in Warsaw from 1903 to 1905, Szymanowski lived for a time in Berlin, helping to found ……

Born in 1860, Isaac Albéniz is best known for piano music that brilliantly evokes the spirit of Spain. As a composer-virtuoso, Albéniz successfully melded together composition and performance to create a bravura style reminiscent of the music of Liszt, seasoned with Spanish folk idioms. The work that most convincingly represents this synthesis of virtuosity and tradition is the enchantingly colorful and atmospheric Iberia, a suite of 12 pieces recalling Spanish (particularly Andalusian) places and dances. Albéniz used folklore as his inspiration, but created a singular melodic style, which eventually influenced Debussy and Ravel. Believing that artistic originality and an interest in one's national musical tradition do not exclude each other, Albéniz likewise was largely the creator of the Spanish musical idiom that would be adopted and developed by Granados and de Falla - All Music Guide
