Catalonian composer Xavier Montsalvatge began violin lessons at the age of nine, around the same time as his father's death and his move to Barcelona to live with his grandfather. This move later allowed him to attend the Barcelona Conservatory and numerous concerts that greatly influenced him. His teachers at the conservatory were Francisco Costa for violin and Enrique Morera and Jaume Pahissa for composition. He himself became a teacher at the school in 1933. His first important works were the 1934 Tres impromptus for piano, for which he won the Rabell prize from the Patxot Foundation, and the Suite burlesca, for which he won the Pedrell prize in 1936. It's no coincidence that it appears as if the blood has been drained from Annie Lennox's face on the cover of her third solo effort, Bare. Death, both figurative and literal, consumes much of the album (her first since 1995's collection of covers Medusa), and her mummified image is more than apropos.

E.S.P. is the Bee Gees' seventeenth original album (fifteenth worldwide). Released in 1987, it was the band's first studio album in six years, and their first release under their new contract with Warner Bros. It marked the first time in twelve years the band had worked with producer Arif Mardin, and was their first album to be recorded digitally. The album sold well in Europe, reaching No. 5 in the UK, No. 2 in Norway and Austria, and No. 1 in Germany and Switzerland, though it barely made the top 100 in the US.

Robert Hall Lewis (1926-1996) wrote music of an overtly philosophical bent - decidedly challenging but accessible. ... The four ensemble works presented here, all written in the decade of the eighties, are illustrative of Lewis's personal style - a synthesis of inventive textures, unusual and often exotic timbres, rich harmony, and complex rhythms.

COPROPHILIAC is a two pieces grinding brutality from Italy. The project was born in the middle of 2008 by Mario Di Giambattista (guitar player in VULVECTOMY too) and David "Deadskin" Cetorelli from the bands REX VERMIUM and DRAKNOR. The song-writing process continue for all 2010 and in September of the same year the band enter the 16Cellar Studio (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Blasphemer etc.) in Rome to record the first album "Whining Bitch Treatment" released by Sevared Records on February 2012

On 'Eternal Turn Of The Wheel' Drudkh revisits the earliest releases of their discography. Stylistically it is very reminiscent of 'Forgotten Legends', 'Autumn Aurora' and 'The Swan Road'. Drudkh didn't half-ass it though, 'Eternal Turn Of The Wheel' sounds very inspired. 'Eternal Turn Of The Wheel' is convincing proof that Drudkh should stick to their guns when it comes to their stylistic approach since this is really a great record. Highly recommended!

Album released in Spain with a collection of 13 'nabaneras' performed by four vocal groups well-known in the Catalan region and particularly in the Costa Brava (Girona), where there is a long tradition of interest in this genre. The CD is performed by the vocal groups 'Pescadors', ' Peix Fregit', 'Terra endins' and 'Cap Roig'. To highlight the vocal polyphony of 'Cap Roig' with cuts like 'La sirena' or 'A la Habana me voy, niña' and 'Terra endins' with 'Adiós mi peninsula hermosa' y 'Adiós mi Cuba'. Overall this CD offers a worthy tribute to that music so popular, the 'habanera', in voices that have preserved for years its romantic sailor fervor and musical warmth.
