Steel is their element – with all its characteristics: hardness, rigidity and high resistance.
They represent a generation of hard German music and develop that martial and powerful musical variety that began as “Neue Deutsche Harte” with bands like DIE KRUPPS or OOMPH in the middle of the 90?s and that was perfected by RAMMSTEIN some years later.

His solo debut sees Craig Finn abandoning the Hold Steady's trademark Springsteenesque bar blues. There are no "whoah whoahs", and the songs don't blaze out of the speakers as if they were racing each other home. Instead, beautiful slide guitars and gentler country rockers frame a more narrative style occasionally reminiscent of Lou Reed's New York. What could have sounded underpowered focuses the attention on Finn's marvellous storytelling. No Future's opening couplet, "By the way you picked up the phone, I knew you weren't gonna die/ February is as long as it's wide" brilliantly illustrates his ability to set a scene in seconds.

When Procol Harum's ninth studio album, Something Magic, was released in March 1977, it sold poorly and was largely dismissed, with the group breaking up at the end of the promotional tour for it. With this reissue more than 30 years later, annotator Roland Clare argues it is "in need of outright reappraisal." He doesn't actually make that case, but he does explain the circumstances that led to the debacle. After its previous album, Procol's Ninth, produced by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, Procol Harum might have been expected to go back to a more conventional approach; instead, the group hired the hot studio of the day, Criteria in Miami, and its hot resident producers, Ron and Howie Albert.

Though this is only Graveyard's second album, they are known for their doom metal meets stoner rock debut album that brought them Stateside for a stellar and muchhyped live event at South by Southwest in 2008. Since then, the band have acquired a remarkable maturity that takes them far beyond their roots and into truly unique territory. They are a band whose influences can be heard, but who blend the varied sounds into a coherent, original album that is absolutely faithful and devoid of irony.

Kisses on the Bottom is the sixteenth solo studio album by Paul McCartney. The album's title, "Kisses on the Bottom", comes from the album's lead track "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter", originally a hit for Fats Waller in 1935. Said McCartney on the album, "I worked with Diana Krall, and great jazz musicians like John Clayton. This is an album very tender, very intimate. This is an album you listen to at home after work, with a glass of wine or a cup of tea."

Black Sands came out in 2010 to almost universal critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success. Si Green aka Bonobo moved from being an underground producer of impeccable credentials to a poster boy for a new take on electronic music – contemporary and edgy but also soulful, song-based, sometimes lush but always emotional. Black Sands Remixed gathers together a group of like-minded musicians and producers to interpret this classic album. Most of the material here has never been heard before.

"Farnace" was apparently one of Vivaldi's favorite operas because he mounted numerous productions in various cities and wrote six versions of the score, more than of any of his other operas. The recording uses the 1731 revision of the score, the one Vivaldi had in his possession at his death.

Bobby Darin (May 14, 1936 – December 20, 1973), born Walden Robert Cassotto, was an American singer, actor and accomplished musician. Darin performed in a range of music genres, including pop, rock, jazz, folk and country. This two-fer from EMI features a pair of out of print Bobby Darin LPs: "Oh! Look at Me Now" and "From Hello Dolly to Goodbye Charlie". Originally issued on Capitol Records in 1962 and 1964, respectively, these 23 traditional pop songs include "Blue Skies", "My Buddy", "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square", and "Call Me Irresponsible". This is a nice sampler of familiar items that should satisfy the needs of casual fans.
