Album released in Europe played by French accordionist Nino Portelli which gathers 16 songs arranged for accordion and ensemble of accompaniment. Songs on the CD repertoire are classic Spanish, French, Italian and German folk music. Nice music appropriate in many cases even dancing in a session of about 50 minutes long.
Album released in Europe and performed by the Argentine producer and musician Gustavo Montesano (Buenos Aires, 1955) accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) of London. This album is a musical project unique, original and innovative of Montesano in which the guitar plays a total of 11 highly recognized pieces of classical music with orchestral contribution of the RPO. Classics as Albinoni, Beethoven, Pachelbel, Mozart, Bach, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Vivaldi and Rabel lend some of his great scores for this novel exercise fusion of classical and flamenco music.
The band that Holy Soldier found itself compared to more than anyone was Stryper, which also used heavy metal/hard rock to promote Christianity. The style on this obscure CD is rooted in Gothic metal – sort of Judas Priest meets Ronnie James Dio meets Grim Reaper. But while tunes like "Eyes of Innocence," "When the Reign Comes Down" and "See No Evil" bear some resemblance to those bands musically, Holy Soldier's lyrics are obviously coming from an overtly Christian perspective.
To Hell with the Devil is the Grammy Award nominated third release, and second full-length album, by the Christian metal and glam metal band Stryper, released in 1986. It was the first Christian metal album to achieve platinum status, selling over one million copies. In 2010, HM Magazine listed To Hell with the Devil No. 3 on its Top 100 Christian Rock Albums of All Time list stating that "when this album broke, it went multi-platinum, forever raising the ceiling of what heavy Christian music could do." Heaven's Metal fanzine ranked it No. 6 on its Top 100 Christian metal albums of all time list. "Honestly" was a huge hit for the band. A video for the song became a huge hit on MTV.
The Hungarian trumpeter, Gábor Boldoczki (…) received the coveted Prix Davidoff of the Reemtsma-Foundation for his "technical perfection and fully-developed artistic virtuosity", followed by the highly esteemed Prix Young Artist of the Year in 2002. After previously being awarded the Echo Klassik as Best Newcomer in October 2003, Gábor Boldoczki was again honoured by the German Phono Academy in 2008 as Instrumentalist of the Year.
Billy Squier wrote a great song when he was in the Sidewinders, a song that didn't make it to their Lenny Kaye-produced RCA album but is here in all its glory. "Telephone Relation" is an exquisite pop tune, overshadowed only by the even poppier "Who's Your Boyfriend," which should have been as big a hit as "The Stroke," "In the Dark," and "Everybody Wants You." The great thing about Piper is that Squier emerged with authority as a solid front man, guitarist, and singer/songwriter.
Le nozze di Figaro, ossia la folle giornata (The Marriage of Figaro, or the Day of Madness), K. 492, is an opera buffa (comic opera) in four acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with Italian libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, based on a stage comedy by Pierre Beaumarchais, La folle journée, ou le Mariage de Figaro (1784)…
