Feskarn is the solo project of Niklas Larsson from Uppsala, Sweden. Niklas began this Viking black metal band in 2010 and it was his first metal effort. Before Feskarn, he was experimenting with electronic music. “Raise Your Swords” is the first official work of the band and it’s a full-length album, released by the German label Pesttanz Klangschmiede in the end of 2012.

Fortune) including bassplayer John Levén and drummer Ian Haugland from the band Europe and guitar player Fredrik Åkesson (Opeth, Talisman). His exploits as a piano-thumping, egocentric wild man with an unquenchable thirst for living have become the fodder for numerous biographies, film documentaries, and a full-length Hollywood movie. Certainly few other artists came to the party with more ego and talent than he and lived to tell the tale. And certainly even fewer could successfully channel that energy into their music and prosper doing it as well as Jerry Lee.

At a time when that tradition appeared in danger of disappearing, many of its most elemental practitioners reappeared to remind us of the bruising force of this music's headwaters. They were living legends who demonstrated strong bonds with legends passed. Eddie 'Son' House had been associated with Charley Patton and was a mentor both to Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters. Johnny Shines had traveled with Johnson and absorbed his music before joining the Delta's émigrés to Chicago.
