Loud Like Love is the seventh studio album from internationally acclaimed rock band, Placebo. Recorded in London at RAK Studios during 2012 and early 2013, the album was produced by Adam Noble and features 10 brand new studio tracks. The Deluxe Edition version includes 8 exclusive bonus tracks.

The wonderful French pianist Cédric Tiberghien has made several admired recital and chamber recordings. Now he joins the impressive roster of pianists who have contributed to Hyperion’s Romantic Piano Concerto series with Volume 60: Théodore Dubois. Three works by this French composer are included here, and they present a captivating panorama of the evolution of Dubois’ style over some forty years: the Concerto-capriccioso of 1876 seems like a preliminary study in the style of such composers as Weber and Mendelssohn, whereas the highly Romantic Concerto in F minor (1897) is reminiscent of Saint-Saëns. The completely unknown Suite for piano and strings (1917), for its part, resembles a neoclassical pastiche.

In a fanciful press release for this record, Carla Bley wrote that she wanted to make a record that would "put people in a mellow, sensual mood" as opposed to getting them all riled up as usual. She must have meant some of this ironically, for while Heavy Heart is a somewhat bright, light-minded album, there are plenty of dark undercurrents to be heard. For example, take the fascinating "Light or Dark," where a light, happy texture is undercut by Hiram Bullock's intruding dissonant guitar and Kenny Kirkland's discordant comping.

The MusiCares foundation pays special tribute James Taylor, and a special collection of music superstars are on hand to celebrate the beloved singer/songwriter's commitment to both his musical artistry and philanthropic efforts. Of course music fans are well familiar with Taylor thanks to such classic songs as "Carolina on my Mind" and "Something in the Way She Moves," but the enduring music man has also made a mark with his support of various environmental and humanitarian causes as well.

The typically Spanish lyrical genre, the 'zarzuela', is performed here by the Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé i Folch (Barcelona, 1933) with the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Eugene M. Marco. The Caballé is known worldwide for his great vocal technique, the purity of his voice and his absolute power and spectacular breathing control technique. The repertoire of the album consists of 9 songs very appropriately selected for the powers of the Caballé.

This album is the second of the studio recordings by Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 with A & M Records label, and is certainly one of the top of his production. Composers like Jorge Ben, Michel Legrand, Joao Gilberto, Cole Porter and Antonio Carlos Jobim bring creations that are splendidly arranged by Sergio Mendes, who can find fused arrangements between pop and jazz, wrapped by the great Brazilian rhythms, bossa nova and samba. Mendes offers a very personal sound, in which rhythm, melody and rich harmonies create a soft sophisticated atmosphere with its warm emotions.

SARKE's third album, "Aruagint" released on September 20 via Indie Recordings, the CD was once again recorded at H-10 Productions studios in Oslo with producer Lars Erik Westby.Says they band: "Our music is inspired by the great '70s rock bands, '80s speed metal bands and '90s black metal bands. Put this together with the creative mind of the band and your get pure dark rock music sounding is clear, raw and honest."

Allan Taylor: "What we aimed to do was to make a film about a travelling troubadour, how he gets his ideas for songs, how he writes songs, how he plays the concerts and how he travels from city to city - we wanted to show the lifestyle of a singer-songwriter. It´s hard for me to be objective about the result, I guess, because I've lived it, but I hope you get some idea of what it's like." This film also delivers insight into the genesis of a song: idea, lyrics, composition, performance and recording in studio.
