This trio session by Steve Kuhn includes classical works and pieces adapted into pop songs decades ago. He initially studied classical music as a young man with the mother of baritone saxophonist Serge Chaloff, so he is well grounded in the music. With bassist Dave Finck and Billy Drummond accompanying him, Kuhn's driving, boppish treatments of "Till the End of Time" (based upon Chopin's Polonaise No. 53) and "Stranger in Paradise" (taken from Borodin's Plovetzian Dance) sizzle with energy.

After Steve Jolliffe had left the group, Edgar Froese and Chris Franke recorded the album "Force Majeure", originally issued on transparent vinyl. Klaus Krüger played drums again before changing to the band of Iggy Pop.
Following "Stratosfear", the album developed Tangerine Dream's further evolution toward the more melodic sound they would adopt in the 1980s. For example, "Cloudburst Flight", is more of the tradition of progressive rock than the band's 1970s output of Berlin School.
"Force Majeure" was critically acclaimed and went Top 30 in the UK. Up to now this album is one of the most famous among Tangerine Dream fans.

Rock icon BILLY IDOL will release Kings & Queens Of The Underground, his first new album in almost a decade, on October 17. The album will be released on Idol’s own BFI Records, via Kobalt Label Services. Kings & Queens Of The Underground was primarily produced by Trevor Horn, with Greg Kurstin also contributing as a producer to two songs, including the anthemic lead single, “Can’t Break Me Down.” The artwork for Kings & Queens Of The Underground, above, was designed by street artist and graphic designer Shepard Fairey.

Rodolpho Richter plays them with virtuosity and expressive warmth, qualities which are complemented by Alison McGillivray's sensitive and self-effacing partnership on the viola da gamba. In summary, there is no dull music on this recording and no dull playing of it.

Hildegard Frieda Albertine Knef (December 28, 1925 – February 1, 2002) was a German actress, singer, and writer. (…) In the 1960s and 1970s, she enjoyed considerable success as a singer of German chansons, which she often co-wrote. The song she is mostly remembered for is "Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen" ("Red roses are to rain for me"). She is also known for her version of the song "Ich hab noch einen Koffer in Berlin" ("I still have a suitcase in Berlin") and "Mackie Messer" ("Mack the knife"). She sold more than three million records in total.

Millenium is a Polish five-piece neo-progressive band with Polish vocals on their 1st album and English vocals dominating after their 2nd production, generally in the Pendragon and early Marillion styles but also with some spices of Pink Floyd and classical Genesis. There are influences of older Polish bands like Collage (as you can in every Polish neo-prog band).
